I like the El Burrito Loco chain. It’s fast, cheap and delicious. Caldo de Res(Beef soup) $ 8 — This is a very tasty soup full of goodies — tender beef, cabbage, carrot and a piece of corn on the cob. It’s large enough to share with 2 – 4 people. Single Flauta $ 2 — Pricey for what you get, not that tasty. Tamale $ 2.59 — Choice of pork or chicken. I tried the pork one, it was kinda good, but the corn part was very dry and crunchy on half of it. Maybe the one I got was sitting around too long, who knows, but I would pass on this next time.

I’ve never had a bad experience or meal here. The staff has always been pleasant and the food is always awesome. I started with the burritos, switched to the enchiladas, moved on to the tortas, then the huarache, then the pasole, now I’m trying all the tacos. TLDR: I have yet to have a bad item here.

My favorite Mexican restaurant of the three located in El Guero parking lot. The tacos are tasty, and are in regular sized tortillas(not bite sized) mini tacos. And cheese on top of a steak taco? Yes, please. El Burrito Loco also allows you to get refills on your drinks for free where the other places nearby don’t.

We’ve been eating here for about 10 years. It would be accurate to say this place is great or sometimes not so good. Most of the time it’s good. All the standard Mexican faire. I know another person stated they have the best Cuban food here but I’ve never seen any Cuban items served here. Highlights include taco El Pastor. Delicious. Steak tacos, sometimes great, always good. Beans are good. Dinner plates are good. If you place an order you have to ask for chips and salsa. Salsa as well as there green and red sauces are slightly tangy. I like the food here but sometimes the people working here have an attitude. If going through the drive thru check your order. Sometime the girls at the counter will argue with you if they make a mistake on your order. Overall I think you should be okay here.

I was not going to eat here no more and have for about a yr, then I decided to try some menu items again and I was surprised. Chile rellenos burrito and tacos were soo good I was shocked, now I’ve been there 3times in 10days I liked their cheesecake burrito and fajita burrito. I think if you haven’t been there in a while or are driving by give them a try. and the prices are resonable.

I love the nachos here, eveyrhing is great except for the staff, the bitches had attitude and dident care about anything and i felt unconfortable, worst customer service ever. I would come here for the nachos only Todo estuvo bien excepto por las viejas, son bien groseras, ignoran a los clientes por andar con sus platicas. pero los nachos muy buenos, si regresaria por los nachos.

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the Aurora/Naperville area! We really like and frequently order their burritos(beef/chicken/carnitas) and shredded beef flautas. We recently took a friend and he said it was the best bistek a la Mexicana that he’d ever had. The drive-thru can be slow, however, this isn’t fast food like Taco Bell.

We moved here to Aurora about 7yrs ago and felt that after living so close to Little Village and Pilsen, that we would never find a good Mexican restaurant like in our old stomping grounds. We are please to say that we were wrong. We genuinely enjoy El Burrito Loco and have used them to cater my husband’s birthday a couple of times. I should add that my husband is of Mexican descent and so it stands without saying that he and his family really know Mexican food. We are always pleased. I’m especially a sucker for their steak fajitas. My husband loves the carnitas and chicken flautas. Mami loves their chicken enchiladas. Yes, I did just refer to my mom as «mami». And? Anyways, a shout out to Victor who manages a wonderful establishment and is all about customer service. Continue doing what you do and I will continue to do what I do… enjoying the flavors of El Burrito Loco.

I went to this place and ordered two burritos and chips with salsa. The lady repeated our order two times each time I said yes that is correct. We paid for our items through the drive through and went home. We unwrapped the food to find one burrito was correct and the other was completely not what we ordered. It was the wrong meat and everything. I and asked for the manager and was told he was not in. The other person said he could help. I explained the whole thing and was told he would write our name in a book and the next time we came he would remake the one burrito for us for free. I said thank you and went on with my evening. My daughter return to the place and told them she had our name in the book for a burrito that was made incorrectly. They said there was no such book or name. She described the person and told them the date and time we had come. The lady told me that she was a manager and that they would have never told me this. Then later she said oh the cashier wrote it down but he is not allowed to do this. Then she told me I would have had to drive all the way back to exchange the burrito in order to get the one I actually ordered. REALLY!!! You made my food completely wrong and you except me to drive all the way back to your restaurant and wait again for my food to be made correctly. This is BS!!! I will never eat at this place again! The manager was rude, lied and has no customer service skills at all. If your employee doesn’t and isn’t allowed to write someones name down then why is he doing it. If he did then you should honor it without arguing with the customer. Funny thing is we were going to buy another burrito and chips. Oh well, they obviously don’t need our business. I give this place an «F» for customer service. PS make sure you check your food if ordering through the drive through or you may have to drive back to get what your really ordered.

This seems to be a better than average El Burrito Loco, but like most El Burritos, it just feels too much like a fast food place. Normally when you’re in a strip mall situation that’s alright, but when you’re quite literally next door to an actual great Mexican restaurant with similar hours, pricing, and everything else I can’t think of much reason to hit up El Burrito instead. The difference is, when you go to Taqueria El Brasero next door, you’re getting actual waiter service for no discernible premium. I mean I guess you could say«Well at El Burrito you don’t have to tip,» but that seems like splitting hairs. This is a weird review, as it’s not like this El Burrito is bad by any stretch of the imagination, but when you can, no joke, go 20 feet north and go somewhere ~better~, that seems worth doing right?

This place serves some of the best and most authentic Cuban food in Chicago. I’ve spent some time going to different restaurants and this was by far the best one I’ve been to. If you’re in the mood for good Cuban food, I think you definitely try this place out. You will NOT be disappointed!

I give the staff props for being friendly and helpful, but service aside the food was just awful. It tasted like bad Americanized Mexican food. The ground beef had no flavor and the cheese sauce on the nachos tasted really processed and the refried beans just tasted off. Not very authentic at all.

I’ve gone to this particular restaurant for years and it can either be a hit or miss with me. When it’s a miss, I tell myself never to go here again, but then I give in to the convenience, go again and it will be a hit. Today was a hit! I ordered the baby steak burrito and jalapeño poppers. The steak tasted good and tender.(On bad days, it can be dry and full of grizzle. So much so, that I will have my half chewed discarded pile that I put to the side and sometimes it’s half of the meat they put on there.) It had a tasty seasoning and everything seemed fresh. I always order my burritos with sour cream and guacamole. Sometimes they put guac on it and sometimes slices of actual avocado. Today it was slices of avocado! Yes! What I will say is consistent, I have never had a burrito from here that doesn’t start falling apart when I eat it. I was sad today, as I was really enjoying this burrito and wanted to eat it as a burrito and not with a fork all over a plate. The jalapeño poppers were even better today. They are filled with cream cheese and coated with a bread crumb batter. Sometimes, the breading has been harder and not as fresh tasting… today, it was so delicate. that’s the only way to describe it. I do have to remind myself the next time I go to not give me 6 containers of hot sauce between what I and my husband ordered. I barely use any of it and I’d really like to meet the person who would use that much. They can’t have a stomach any longer. The staff is always friendly there and service is quick. There have been a couple of times they didn’t give me the correct thing, but I think that’s due to a language barrier. They have a pretty extensive menu(even though I just stick to the basics) and are probably one of the most authentic Mexican places for fast food. Oh! And! Today, I noticed a baby squirrel hanging out by the drive thru area. Watch out when you come and go. I’d hate to know that someone ran over him. :)

Fantastic! I’ve been going here for about 5 years now, and I have to disagree with a few of the reviewers here. The quality and value has not gotten better. The service is always excellent, they’re open late, and it is incredibly clean throughout. The fajitas are amazing and the enchiladas are phenomenal. The horchata drink is to die for. Parents beware, there is a huge mural on the wall of a Mayan man holding a curvy topless lady… A nice touch for adults but perhaps mildly inappropes for the younger kids. Overall a great place and I will never stop coming here for late night Mexican food !

They are very hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it’s just not. But all the time it’s really greasy. I will give them that they are fast. Almost too fast. But they are also way over priced for cheap Mexican food. Great giant quesadilla, but really pricey. Horrible Mexican Corn, but very cheap. Sometimes the steak is good other times it’s hard and nasty. Chicken doesn’t taste right to me. For every positive you find there is an equal but opposite negative that ends up canceling them out.

All I can say sitting here dazed and confused in the aftermath of the Mayan(apropos) ruins of my chile relleno dinner platter complete with warm flour tortillas demolishment is, mmmmmm. I’ll save the rest of my energy for that ice cold bucket of creamy orchata gazing at me ever so lovingly from the corner of our spot in a booth in this tiny humble southwestern abode of a taco stand at the outskirts of Aurora, Illinois. If this kind of melty cheesiness is wrong, then I don’t want to be right.

I have been to this location propbably 10 times due to proximity to work. I have declared this place a YUCK. Wish it were different, but we have noticed foul smells, more sauce than substance, watch your check totals. I am not going to say I have never been happy here, but it is one of those places you go to enough to experience and then just say no more! YUCK

I’m rarely a hard critic but this time it was necessary. I really liked the decorations of the place so I gave it a star, but that’s not enough to keep customers coming. First off the staff wasn’t that friendly. Second off, when we asked the lady to give us her favorite dish, just because we were hungry but unsure what to get, she just started pointing to the most expensive items on the menu. That was a turnoff. So we just ordered three tacos just to call it a day. As soon as we got our food I could tell it was a half ass job [pardon my French] because 1.] the tortillas were flour not the traditional Mexican corn tortillas, 2.] the beans were so white and liquid — like that I confused them for a dipping sauce… that’s sad… 3.] don’t even get me started on the rice or it’s molecular integrity… I was very disappointed that for $ 10 I got the worst«traditional» Mexican taco ever. Overpriced and discriminating much? Just because I’m a white girl doesn’t mean I don’t know food. Anyways I just would never recommend this place, and to think I had to sorta go out of my way to get to this location just makes me a little sad inside it’s not even worth going there if you live two min away.

Fast and authentic Mexican cuisine. I had the ground beef chimmi changa. The thing was as big as my forearm, no kidding. Two types of fresh warm salsa to take to the table. The rice and beans were so-so. I’ll go back when I’m hungry and craving a little south-of-the-boarder. Pepsi products
