Wonderful staff and unique merchandise. Lot’s of Grateful dead and cute purses reasonably priced. I always feel like I’m seeing my longtime friends when I stop in. I’ll never stop shopping here.

Since I’m not normally in the market for Bob Marley t-shirts, I generally blow by this place when I am shopping. BUT! I was on a shopping spree at the mall last week-end(Mission: Maxi-Dresses), and as I left Penneys I zeroed in on a rack outside their doorway… FULLOFMAXI-DRESSES. Cue me skidding to a halt. I proceeded to prowl the store and try on a bunch of stuff. Though I’m not a tie-dye person, I can rock a broomstick skirt, and it made me smile to see that the same dresses that I wore in high school(earthy dyes with thick embroidery, usually laced corset style up the back) are still around. But the stuff I ended up getting(from the clearance rack, $ 12.99 each!) looked like they could have come from the department store. In addition to the women’s stuff, you’ll find tons of t-shirts, mostly for bands, LOTS of jewelry(including for body piercing and ear gauges), and stuff that I associate with hippies and/or renaissance faires(candles, swords, incense, etc.) The two women who were working that day were incredibly friendly and helpful. Since this store is so convenient, it’s definitely worth checking back to see what’s new and see where the breeze takes you…

I’m confused as to what this store is trying to be, but really, who cares? It’s conglomeration of weird and awesome shit makes it one of my favorite stores in Fox Valley. Incense, candles, body jewelry, hookahs, Buddha statues, Jimi Hendrix t-shirts, some of the most wickedly wonderful incense burners, knives, swords, and a whole bunch more. All arranged in a completely chaotic clutter, that somehow works well. The guy behind the counter, and his wife, usually are pretty nice to me when I walk in. I think that if you are coming in this store, it is for a purpose, and they almost have a guaranteed sale coming their way. I’ve picked up my favorite incense burner here(a white marble ring of elephants with their trunks up– a symbol of good luck) but their prices on the incense itself is nothing in comparison to other places, and the selection not as varied. Also, I snagged some great old school comic book t-shirts for my husband here. If you are willing to give some time to dig here, you may come up with a very unique gift.
