The single worst place I have ever worked. Oh and that 10 $ lasagna you’re paying for? It was made days in advance and put in microwave. This establishment is run by children posing as adults and their acolytes. We had a state inspector there every week I worked threatening to close the restaurant down if x wasn’t fixed.

This is my go-to for pizza around the area. I usually order the thin crust but the deep dish pizza isn’t all too bad either.

If you need a nice date night or a ever so delicious carry out experience, this is the place. From pizza to lasagna to the great service, I can’t say enough great things from this restaurant.

They have great pizza. Family loves going there at least twice a month. We’ve never tried rest of menu because we enjoy their pizza. Bread sticks with sauce are also very good.

Had trouble finding decent carry-out pizza in the area. Pizza is delicious… very authentic, homemade flavor. Everything is ready on time and the staff is courteous.

Our complaint was responded to by providing us with a free pizza. Unfortunately, the quality of pizza is just not there. The sauce is just ok, and they completely lose me with the half burnt, very hard crust. This place is a no for us. When you have Lou Malnati’s and Giordano’s nearby, you need to raise the level of taste and quality in order to get consistent customers.

My wife and I can’t get enough of this place, we come here as often as we can. My wife had the shrimp Mariano, I for the first time did not order my usual Pizza. I had the Baked Lasagna with the meat sauce. We both enjoyed our meals. The bread loaf that they offer is excellent, dipped in the the olive oil and parmesano cheese. I did order my medium double dough mushroom pepperoni pizza to go. I can’t leave here without taking my pizza pie.

The pizza is good. The problem with this place, is the service! Ordered a beef sandwich three times and they got right only once! Their online order offers a list of how to have your sandwich, dry or juicy and then offers«on the side» right under it! What else could that mean?! It means juice on the side! There is a separate section that gives you an option to order«peppers on the side». I never clicked that. Never received juice(twice) and received everything else on side the second time? I EVENCALLEDTOMAKESURETHEYGOTITRIGHT! All they did was make excuse after excuse! UNBELIEVABLE! I will not order from here again!

Ordered 3 items, calamari fritti, fruiti de mare & tiramisu. Calamari was a disappointment, nasty soggy bread crumbs drenched in oil, tasted so bland and even the marinara couldn’t save it. After few bites, it went straight to the garbage!!! Yuck!!! Never again! Fruiti de mare was ok, could be better but at least the pasta is al dante. The homemade tiramisu was the only good thing that came with this dinner. We haven’t try anything else, we will give it a second try despite the bad 1st impression. But will definitely go back for more tiramisu in the future.

We love Maciano’s, our favorite place in the area for great Italian food! For a easy work week meal we take out the«Spaghetti Family Feast» a $ 20 meal deal large enough to feed a family of 4 easily. Weekends, it’s «The Work’s» thin crust pizza, and the finishing touch, yummy Tiramisu dessert! Never a bad experience, food is always good & delivered hot! The restaurant is nice for dinning out, but get there early, they fill up fast and the place is not very big. Everyone working here gives great friendly service!

Very unhappy. Maciano’s used to have wonderful calzones. Now they are folding dough in half with hardly any cheese or ingredients and charging the same for it. It’s disgusting and dry. I won’t be ordering it ever again. Bad move.

I ordered 2 pizzas for delivery tonight, both small thin crust. One was pepperoni and green pepper, the other their hawaiian luau. Delivery was great but when i opened my pizzas it was pure disappointment! Never had a problem before but tonight was a disaster. They clearly put too much cheese on the pepperoni pizza, it was caked on and sticking to the box under the pizza. In spots there was no crust just cheese. The hawaiian luau reads in their menu as fresh tomato and barbeque sauce, leading me to believe there was tomato or marinara sauce AND barbeque sauce. What arrived was a pizza with barbeque sauce, slices of tomatoes, pineapple and like one slice of canadian bacon. Called to complain and they offered to remake one of the pizzas. Had them make a totally different one in hopes of no disappointment. Honestly, they should have remade both. Probably not going back.

This is by far the best pizza available in Illinois if you are not a deep dish fan. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is always clean, and the Ciabatta bread here is great. They also have delicious chocolate cake, I highly recommend this establishment.

I’ve ordered delivery from here twice 16″ pan for just about $ 30…a little on the pricey side but the pizza is great! I got«The works» pizza both times I ordered and it’s so good! Can’t complain about the price because you get what you paid for and I love a good pizza!

This is our first experience with Maciano’s and it was a great experience!!! The service was good, and the food is delicious! We had carry out stuffed crust 16″ with 12 wings, huge tiramisu and two huge brownies. Approx 50 bucks for all of it, but this family of five will get 3 – 4 meals out of it, so great value as well!

Pizza is pretty good. Not spectacular, but much better than the popular chain places. They have online ordering too! Always use one of the coupons from your local sale circular otherwise it’s too expensive for what you get.

We have given macianos many chances at redeeming themselves. The pizza ingredients overall are decent but something horrible happens during and after the pizza is cooked. With such quality ingredients how and why could you mess a pizza up? Pizza comes out thin, weak, and undercooked. please use the quality indredients like a true pizzeria and dont skimp on quantity. my friends and i will frequent other pizza places till macianos gets their act together.

Since my last review, I’ve had many poor experiences at Maciano’s. Mostly around the order takers not paying attention to what I’m ordering over the phone. I’ve also had issues with not getting enough fresh garlic as a pizza topping. If I order fresh garlic, I should taste it right? On many occasions, I couldn’t. While I appreciate management has done what they could to make up for the mistakes… it’s frustrating to have to go through this in the first place. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when I told the the order taker 3x that I wanted Canadian bacon. but still ended up with regular bacon. I was peeved, and then decided to stop going here and look elsewhere for pizza. I haven’t had a pizza there for months and I find that very disappointing because I first ate Macianos back in 2005(I believe they were still fairly new then) and it WAS the best. Anyways, 3 months later, I was working from home, and was craving some good pasta, so I decided to bite the bullet and hit up Maciano’s(since I live 2 mins down the street). I will say, they do make great pasta dishes, and I will occasionally come back for pasta, but that’s it. Maciano’s — If you’re reading this… here’s a couple suggestions: 1. Find order takers that are professional, and pay attention. Oh, and if they would quote pickup times more accurately, that would be great too :) 2. If someone orders fresh garlic on a pizza… make sure there’s enough so that you can taste it. 3. Keep doing what you do with pasta dishes, they’re great!

Maciano’s used to be one of my favorite Italian places to eat at until last night. I was extremely dissappointed by the food and the customer service! They always bring out breadsticks or garlic french bread while you are waiting for your food with oil and marinara. Normally, they give you an option between the two types of bread but this time no option was given. The breadsticks were so oily and hard we couldn’t even eat them. It was almost as if they had tried to refry old breadsticks. Disgusting. For our meals we ordered the chicken florentine, chicken parm sandwich, and mostaccoli alforno. The chicken parm sandwich was all cheese, no sauce and the fries were stale. The chicken florentine, which is my favorite dish there, was AWFUL! I ordered it with breaded chicken rather than baked and it was so hard you couldn’t even cut into it! I honestly believe they put old chicken on my plate. The mashed potatoes were so dry and had solidified into two balls on my plate. They were hot on the outside but completely cold on the inside which tells me the florentine sauce they put all over the dish was the only thing that was actually cooked. BUT it had some lumpy chunks in the sauce… did they seriously just microwave a bag of sauce??? Another guest at my table had also ordered the chicken florentine and her dish was exactly the same. Hard chicken, cold potatoes, lumpy sauce. She swears up and down they had to have been box potatoes. She hardly touched her meal. We told our waitress and all she said was«well the only thing I can do is give you a free dessert.» Are you freaking kidding me? How about you go make me another one or remove it from my bill? Or better yet, go get your managers, because both were standing at the counter just talking with one another. The problem is that they have all these sixteen year olds working there and non of them have any server experience or knowledge on how to handle a problem like this. The whole restaurant was completely unprofessional. The girls spent more time chatting and laughing obnoxiously loud behind the counters than they did on the floor refilling drinks, clearing off tables, and actually doing their job. Or how about refilling the salt and pepper shakers, both of which were empty at my table, and replacing the the parmesan cheese because ours was old and in large chunks! One girl spilled an entire drink on a customer at the table next to me. It was ALLOVERHIM but the managers didn’t come over once. Just lingered by the front watching. The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because of the mostaccoli al forno. It actually tasted like it was cooked fresh. The meat sauce was good and very spicy, the noodles were cooked just right and it was really cheesy. Even so, it was not good enough to make up for the forty plus bucks we spent on the three other meals that none of us bothered to eat. We seriously left hungry. I am most certain I will not be back to this location.

Maciano’s isn’t the best pizza, but it definitely isn’t the worst either. With so few options while heading home, southbound on Eola Road, I decided to give Maciano’s a try. I called in an order for a 16– inch, thin crust pizza with sausage. My total was $ 22, and I was quoted a 20 – 25 minute wait. While the ambience is cute, cozy, and possibly date-night material, it’s a very relaxed atmosphere as the few patrons who chose to dine-in were dressed very casually in sweatshirts, gym shoes, etc. The pizza itself was okay. The crust was slightly burnt on the edges and the pizza sauce and crust were a bit bland. I loaded crushed red pepper on my pizza. If you’re in the mood for a greasy thin crust pizza, it’ll do. But for $ 22, I’ll go back to my favorites for thin crust: Rosati’s, Vita Bella, or Armand’s. When I arrived, I took a seat and waited a few minutes. There was a swarm of teenagers behind the counter, acting as if they were at school and not at work. They weren’t rude, but they had zero professional composure. Apparently, they installed some new security cameras recently. Two of the girls kept pointing up at them and screeching at other employees, «omigoddidyouseethecameras?!» It was amusing at first, but in the five minutes I had to wait, it just became really annoying to listen to. Maciano’s isn’t a bad idea for takeout. If I lived nearby in one of the many surrounding subdivisions, I’d be more likely to give them another try.
