The burgers are delicious. Had the Jalapeño Popper burger. Others had the wings, slaw burger and philly cheese steak and all were very happy with their meal. Bar tender had ibuprofen for one in our party which was helpful considering drug store across street was closed. Very friendly staff! Also had plenty of TVs to watch the US open.

We went there our first time. Their internet was down and didn’t take credit or check cards. We had to go back out and find a cash machine. Okay. Well. No one else’s internet was down. Strange. Burgers were okay. Take away the awesome bun they serve with it, it’s an ordinary burger. I have had better. Wings were bland. Ordered the garlic butter. Couldn’t taste either one. Spinach dip with home made possibly chips was REALLY good. Nice job on the dip. Jalepeno cheese curds. Well. We didn’t see jalapeños in them but were decent. The bar tender was our waitress and looks busy all the time multi tasking. Cuddos to her. She needs a raise ! We will go back and try some other menu items. Coconut shrimp possibly. I hope it’s good.

Just want to jump on board here since restaurants and reviews are few and far b/t when it comes to the Range. Drove here a long ways while on a weekend away on the North Shore and Iron Range. The reviews here kept us positive but you never know. Echo the few reviews to say our burgers were darn good! Big thick patties(not overcooked) in a Lion’s Tap style bun which again can affirma previous reviewer who said the bun to burger ratio is just right. The wings were also solid and you received a large or standard bar portion of them. Service was a little slow, but when you drive far, relax with a beer and enjoy. Additionally, I did enjoy a grey goose for a very non-Metro low price.

Best burgers on the range! Bar none! My husband and I LOVE the ‘shroom burger! Juicy, delectable, garlicy, buttery flavor, covered with mushroom and cheese. Add delicious fries, all for $ 6.99. So, not only do they serve great burgers, but they are a great value, as well. The Friday fish fry is super, too! Baked or fried, your choice. Both are tasty. And of course the wings are spectacular! Try it! You’ll love it!

Service was inevitably slow all four or five visits. Literally overly slow, and pretty over prices for quality. However, the porketta sandwich was fantastic. Also, if you are looking to share a dinner, ultimate fries work well. Not the best, but filling

Having traveled to Aurora, MN several times over the past few months, I can say one thing for sure — the drive from Duluth to Aurora is the longest 80 miles one can travel and the trip definitely makes you HUNGRY! Now, here is your problem, Aurora encompasses all of four blocks and half of the doors lead to hardware shop, a closed business or the local post office. Do panic, there is solstice — a small burger joint named Rudy’s is where you want to go. As you enter the bar, you immediately notice that is small town America at its best. The bar is simple and usually only occupied by one or two local patrons. Go right to the back and through the glass doors — there you will find burger bliss. Whats so great about the burgers at Rudy’s you may ask? A nearly perfect BBR, Burger Bun Ratio. Rudy’s offers a flavorful burger(cooked on flattop) that is nestled in between a perfect burger bun. For me, I get the Rudy’s Delux — basically it is a bacon cheese burger with BBQ sauce and Jalapeño peppers, lettuce and a thick slice of tomato and i side of crisp onion rings. You can also get Jo-Jos which are almost as good as the rings and it comes with a tasty sour cream and chive dip. Aside from Burgers — Rudy’s has wraps, broasted Chicken and the nicest people you will find in MN. While Aurora may not be on your list of places to visit in Northern MN, i would say if you are in the area it is well worth the stop. You will be rewarded with burger happiness.

I’m starved, and am I glad the staff at the Giants Ridge Lodge suggested Rudy’s. It’s a short drive into this tiny town, but on Main Street in Aurora you’ll find Rudy’s. First impression — nah — there’s another bar across the street that seemed more crowded. Maybe we should scratch the recommendation and go over there. So glad we didn’t. We walk in — all the locals at the bar turn and stare at us. Can they tell we’re not from here? Yep — probably the Asian looks don’t quite fit in the north woods, but we’re here. No fuss — just curious looks and then everyone turns their attention back to the Twins game. I wasn’t sure, but my husband and friends want to watch the end of the game so we sit down. The waitress promptly brings us the menu. It seems that Rudy’s makes all kinds of burgers. I’m starved, so I order the battered fried green beans and the sausage patty burger with jalapeño peppers. I’ll just say that I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Besides the guy at the bar throwing all his non-winning pull tabs into a pile of mess on the floor — the staff were friendly and the food was good.
