I haven’t been here for a few years and I was totally wasted the last time I was there so I just remember bits and pieces. From what I remember it was a cool place. The only downside was the owner threatened to kick me out just because I said the F-word. I could understand if I said it in an offensive way but I didn’t. I was just repeating a line from a movie. I told the owner, «what do you think this place is, a church?» Weird dude.

Rudy’s is actually nothing more than a triple BBB, better known as a «Bad Basement Bar». The configuration of the actual oak bar itself is unique and probably doesn’t get enough credit being overshadowed by Diamond pool tables, knotty pine paneling from floor to ceiling and double DD bartenders. The only thing missing from someones«Wet Dream» of a Man Cave is a trophy sized Black Bear on display and vintage taxidermy Muskies on the wall. Other than that, the exterior is a series of combined structures that resemble barns, sheds and garages that form a multiplex of shit hole buildings that just might scare you away forever. My Take: If your a pool enthusiast, none of this shit matters at all!

Great dive bar with pool tables and video gaming, lacking in food and beer selection. I would have given them a 5 star rating if they had a better selection of beers, but I understand they are tailoring to their regulars which I imagine support the running of this place. It is a great place to hang out, they have pool, slot machines, and a couple old school video games. I’ve only been there in the winter so far, so the beer garden is probably a nice touch, but I don’t really know. The bartenders are friendly, and on certain nights, easy on the eyes. They make a killer margarita from scratch and the prices are more than reasonable. The only downside to this place is the beer selection. I am a stout drinker myself and they have none to offer. The darkest beer they have is negra modelo, hardly a dark beer in my opinion, and not a very good one. But they do carry all the regular stuff and have great deals on Corona Light which is on tap. As far as food goes, it looks to me like they heat up Digiorno pizza. My guess with their prices is that it wouldn’t cost you much more than getting it at the store. However, if you are looking to dine and drink, I would eat somewhere else first then come here. I highly recommend this place if dive bars are to your liking. This is one of the best I have been in.

Did you know the inside of this bar is an upside down pirate ship? Well, not actually, but with the wooden bar and ceiling you kinda feel like an awesome pirate. Plus it’s kinda like Cheers! Everyone is super friendly. There is free pool on Sundays. Really cool beer garden to play bags in with tropical mural and glittery floor. Yeah, I said glitter floor. Try the drunken monkey or fish bowl if your in need of some island drinks. They also have Modelo, 312 and Guinness on tap. On a side note, the Mexican food is delish and they put out free chips and salsa on week nights! Bonus!

Rudy’s is a fun hang out spot, but it definitely won’t blow you away. For one thing, the place just seems outdated. On the outside when you drive up, it looks like a bunch of cinder blocks with a roof and glowing beer signs. When you walk in, the old wood paneling and dinky booths greet you. I might sound picky, but the décor is definitely not modern. The bartenders are friendly and service is average. There are four pool tables with plenty of spaces to sit nearby, as well as several flat screen TVs. The bar itself is not that big though. It’s in an L-shape, but there’s a wall nearby that forms a narrow pathway along the corner of the bar. There’s not much standing room because the only open space is in front of the bathrooms, where the juke box is also located. So unless you get a seat at the bar, you have to go sit in the larger room where the pool tables are(assuming the pool players aren’t using the chairs there). It attracts a crowd of mixed ages, typically late 20s to people in their 40s(and sometimes a few patrons who are a bit older than that). The dress code is very casual. You’ll see some people dressed up, and then you’ll see someone else wearing just a hoodie or a T-shirt. Prices are reasonable and there is a beer garden outside as well. Bottom line: An average place that unless they have an expansion or upgrade the interior, will probably always be average. Not a bad place, but not a great one.
