I have had my acrylics professionally done for over 20 years, I’m very picky and am a licensed cosmetologist as well. I am so impressed with the quality and results of my pink and white nails that I receive from Vi! She is a true artist in many ways! In all my experience, I have never met anyone who can do as beautiful a job as Vi. I drive 35 minutes each way to see her and it is worth the time and money for the lovely results! If you are afraid of drills or filing, look no further. She is fabulous! The salon is modern and comfortable. Looking forward to a pedicure when time allows :)

$ 37 for a not so great pedicure. She asked if I wanted a $ 10 deluxe to my $ 27 pedicure. The deluxe was just sea salt scrub. No paraffin wax??? Fastest pedicure I’ve had. She didn’t even put my flip flops on before painting and I had to carefully put them on myself. Good thing I don’t live close to this one.

I have been trying to find a decent place near my house. I typically go to Tootsies during the workday, but lately, haven’t had the chance during the lunch hour. I’ve tried a couple of places now — most are ok…(not sold on any, though based on this place, I think it pushed me back to one for now). I walked in, there were about 4 – 5 nail technicians, 2 with other customers, and I asked for a pedicure. Picked out my color — they had a decent selection. Sat down in the chair. The massage chairs are set up well. Met my gal, no biggie. I would say this — the service was rushed, not relaxing, not up to par at all. And the price is MUCH higher than most places in the area. $ 25 for a BASIC pedicure, but I upgraded to the Deluxe for $ 35. That included a salt scrub, callus removal(which i probably didn’t need and hot towel. Everything just seemed unpolished(no pun intended). The scrub just seemed like having a big burly russian mama scrubbing you down for your bath before you marry her babuschka(you’ve seen that movie right?). There was no care, no relaxation, no practice involved. Just go through the motions. She polished the piggies, and then took my payment — very little interaction, That’s fine, I’m not really a talker when I go to the nail salon. My alter ego comes out and she’s a bit shy. Here’s the reason for the star deductions — when she came back to hand me back the credit card receipt to sign — and AFTER I signed it with tip and handed it back to her, here is what she asked me: «Sooooo… when are you due?» Backstory: I am not pregnant, I am done having kids since ohhhh… say nearly 10 years ago… and, I am 5’8″ weighing 135lbs. There is NOWAY I looked preggers. Yes, I have a small pouch in the front that I am quite aware of and could use to do more crunchies and eat less cheetoes. But pregnant looking, large and in charge? NOSIR! Are you kidding me? Do not, EVER say that to a woman unless you are 100% sure — nay — 1000% sure she is with child. So, do you think I punched her, screamed at her, walked out of there? No. I replied very calmly, «Oh, its just a little leftover baby weight.» So if that wasn’t enough to make someone want to blow their top — I hung around so my little piggies wouldn’t smear. And said nail technician decided there was a great game of cards going on with the other gals and she just HAD to get involved in that. So I waited. and waited. And Waited. Until I thought my piggies were dry. And I started to slowly get up(for hopes said idiot would see me and come rush to my side and help me put on my flip flops). But alas. She did not. She looked up. But didn’t care. Her cards were more important. And I smeared my polish. And I walked out of there. Without them even saying goodbye. I will NOT be headed back to this place. Poor customer service — yes, it was a mistake, but they could have rectified it just by acknowledging me by saying goodbye(hell — I walked past 4 of them on my way out!) Just stay away — I’ve had better customer service for lower prices in that area — it may not be Tootsie’s, but at least it wasn’t THAT bad!
