Very nice and clean. Everything is easy to find. However everything is overprice for a use items in which it would cost the same as a new item. Also, half of the stuff you can’t even find a price tag. This place is nice but just need more reasonable price because thrift store of use items shouldn’t cost the same as a new item.

I came here to browse one day and was really tempted to get a 50s sheer night over shawl dress thing. Aside from that I thought items weren’t that great compared to the Good Will and thrift stores I often go to in San Jose. The place is however very organized compared to many thrift stores. There are check in offers on Unilocal which saved me 50%! I got many cute plates from London & ice cream bowls for maybe a quarter a piece.

Lots of clothes(designer)! Lots of Christmas stuff right now and putting out a ton more! If you need anything for Christmas at a great price and in excellent condition, Safari is the place to go. Oh yea, and the people are super nice!

Great place to donate to and shop for a meaningful cause! I try to spread the word as much as possible about this place and love how they help refugees get on their feet.

I finally checked this place out after years of driving by. Best part: Not only do you get a tax receipt(as many non-profit thrift stores give for your donations), you automatically get a 25% discount for shopping. No clipping coupons. In addition to the usual thrift items, you can buy sewn craft items made by refugees that the charity has assisted. For example, as you walk in toward the back, you can buy Paw’s(refugee lady from Burma) hand sewn lunch bags and wallets. Also, you can necklaces that are made by women from Uganda. Originally, the charity assisted refugees from various African countries, but have extended their services internationally including those from Bosnia, Afghanistan, etc. The employee who I saw at the encounter was very upbeat, chatty, and willing to assist you to take items from your car. No phoniness. About the cause: most refugees left their countries due to genocide, not soley civil wars or «prejudice.» In the back by the books, you will see pics of social workers, interns, and volunteers, who assist refugees with counseling and education.

Best prices, very well organized. Guys clothing is a little weak compared to Goodwill. Always walk out with several great finds. The employees are very nice and the delivery fees like 25 bucks for whatever will fit in their truck!

Wow, there is so much packed into this store! I wish I could have found some treasures to take home with me the day we were in here, but I didn’t, so I will just have to keep going back. There is a nice furniture collection up front and then a small pathways lined with framed art lead back to a large area full of clothes, electronics, shoes and all sorts of odd n ends. I enjoyed spending time here going through all the store had to offer. The concept is also very pleasing. All proceeds going to help educate refugees from Africa. You can see the little classroom/library they have set up in the back. When we were there, there was no class in session, but I bet that would be some interesting eve’s dropping! I would love to get involved someday, if I ever finish school!

I’ve been going to Safari Seconds for years. It’s easy to get to, and the staff is always friendly. Like most thrift stores, every once in a while I find something amazing. There is street parking on Broadway and they have a private lot as well. But one of the main reasons I shop at Safari more than any other thrift store is that their proceeds go to a refugee outreach program(mostly focusing on Africa). Refugee’s work at the counter, I’ve watched an English class in the back of the store and Safari provides clothing, furniture, as well as many other services to refugees.

My friend and I started off our Friday thrift store shopping extravaganza and Safari Seconds. I wish that we had made it here twice that day. We just didn’t realize what we had. The pricing is super cheap and simple. All t-shirts are 1.99, all collared shirts are 2.99. All boots are $ 4.99. It’s not like other thrift stores where they price things by brand or quality. They had some amazing finds! i found a pair of Ariat Cowboy boots that were exactly my size and super comfortable. That’s right, only $ 4.99. Later in the day we found similar boots at other thrift stores and they were at least $ 20 and, in high end stores, over $ 100. The staff was friendly and and we had fun going through their items. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

I went to Safari Seconds after I saw that it received a «Best of Westword». Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. The selection was pretty small and I felt like I was being watched the whole time. On top of that, many of the clothes I considered buying didn’t even have prices attached. I think it’s great that they donate proceeds to a charity but unfortunately I didn’t want to stay any longer than I had to. I went down to the Goodwill a couple blocks away and found some good items.

This is my favorite thrift store. They have a great new layout, friendly staff, great selection, low prices, worthy cause… and it’s easy to get to without a car. I just hop on the zero bus headed down Broadway and get off at 4th. They’ve always got something on sale and the prices are really low to begin with. I always find something fun and unusual in the bric-à-brac section(or is it called knick-knacks?). They said they’re also a job-training program for refugees, so that’s cool. I usually go on the weekends and the cashier from Afghanistan who works then is very friendly.

Ewe nice purple sweater! Small. Indian music. Great selection of(horrible) books. Furniture room. $ 100 for a 3×6 glass dining table. With chairs that should have stayed in 1988 but for only 99! Fisher price dollhouse thing. An oven. Foosball Nice giraffe motif. Pirates of the Caribbean pinball. Shriek bust. Impressive selection of kneepads! And wearing at least 3 or 4 yellow and black striped scarves across his face asks for my opinion. Book,” Minnesota state of Beauty”
