We rented an outdoor site for our camper last October. We moved in November 1, 2014. We felt the price was a little high, but it was close to home and seemed secure and clean. Less than 11 months later we received notification that there was new ownership, improvements had been made (new, electronic fancy sign?) and that our monthly rate would go up 17%. I called to express my concern and that I would be pursuing an alternative site. I was told that property taxes were going up and that because they were near capacity, good business sense told them it was time to raise prices. I was told that not all prices were raised, just those who had been there a while (less than a year? hmmm). The owner did offer to reduce the $ 10/​month increase to $ 7, however we found another site, 4 miles away, that will actually save us $ 345/​year. Nice facility, not a great value for us.
