Steak ‘n Shake

Worst service ever! No stars. Let’s see 45 minutes to get our shakes and another 15 minutes before food arrived and two orders were wrong. We watched 3 tables get up and leave without ever being waited on. Too bad I used to love Steak and Shake.

Came during the week. We were seated right away and brought our drinks. The server was extremely nice! Our food too longer than it should I felt because it wasn’t busy, but overall good wad good. Floors and bathrooms could be cleaner.

Horrible customer service. Sat down and had to wait a half hour before my order was taken. They had 2 menus down and the servers were bussing tables rather than taking orders. The waiters and waitresses were swearing and we’re extremely unprofessional. I left due to terrible service and would never come back here and would not recommend to others. There is another location down the street and it’s a lot better.

So I’ve had a taste for a milkshake, stopped by, we’ve ordered 2 to go, strawberry and vanilla, paid with cash and never got a receipt. Place was chaotic, seems like one or two waitresses but plenty of people on the floor. We’ve seen the milk shake team struggle to deliver orders, they keep on knocking cups but in general they’ve been working so slow I was actually amazed that someone so challenged with the process hasn’t been actually dragged out of there and beaten over the attitude. Over 20 MINUTES LATER! we’ve got the shakes, came home to find out one of the shakes is banana and other some peanut butter-​vanilla mix…

When we ordered our food she kept talking over us then telling us our total. We said no a few times, we’re not done with our order yet. We didn’t even get a lot of food to begin with and waited a while for our food. Finally we got our food and headed back. When we got home we found out they didn’t give us my boyfriend’s burger or fries! So I hope they enjoyed that meal on us! I felt really bad for him because he was SO hungry. We weren’t about to spend time driving back out on the roads and with the plow trucks everywhere. We shouldn’t have been put in that position to begin with. Wish we could get compensated for the meal we were supposed to get that we spent money on. I HIGHLY doubt that though. I always wonder how much free food these fast food people get that screw us out of our orders. I’m sure it happens to a lot of people all the time too lol. Free food for them with their paycheck… must be nice!

Waited over 30 minutes for 3 shakes only to learn they were made but not given to us. Not cool.

Worst service ever… seated us and no one came to take our order after we waited almost 15 minutes… had to go up to the counter and complain!

This is usually a decent 3 star restaurant, but tonight was a disaster. They were certainly understaffed. but no one even greeted us. There were people waiting to check out at the register, but no one said anything to them let alone getting them out of there.

I am impressed with this drive thru at this location. Lunch time, steady stream of cars, we waited a little bit but not bad. My order was accurate and came out a minute after I paid. It was hot and fresh and pretty good for a semi fast food burger place! I am glad I passed up McDonalds to pick up lunch here instead.

I’ve been here numerous time over the last few months on my way home from work anywhere I between 12:30am and 2am. I choose this restaurant because they advertise breakfast after midnight and theirs is one of the best. However each time I was told that they didn’t have it available and they wouldn’t be able to serve it. The breakfast items here are very limited so it amazes me that they aren’t able to have breakfast available as advertised. If you’re looking for for late night food head somewhere else.

Maybe I should have order online then maybe I would get my food in less than 20 minutes and still waiting never coming here again to bad good food

After waiting 5 minutes, I noticed that there were several tables left uncleared. On top of that there were 2 servers and one manager taking orders. While we were there one of our meals wasn’t seasoned and we never got our drinks. Also five groups of people left before getting their orders taken after sitting for 10 minutes or left due to outrage of the service. This location gives all Steak ‘N Shakes a bad reputation. I would give no stars, but this review requires at least one, which it does not deserve.

They get a five for the fact their Frisco melts are to die for!!! That sauce is amazing!!!

Drive through speaker was broken, and there was a sign asking you to pull up to a window. When I did there was a car there. The car got its food and took off. I then pulled up to the window. Was left there for 4 minutes as workers walked past it ignoring me. I finally caught someone’s attention and they told me the drive through is closed. I pointed out it was just open, and the girls snapped «and then we closed it.» Sure enough I left immediately. Horrible customer service.

Will never go there again. My husband and I were racially profiled by the waiter. He purposely ignored us then kept finding excuses not to serve us. Like «I forgot my order notebook», then he went to the back and was talking to the other employees and laughing for 15 minutes. We spent a half an hour total sitting at the table and feeling horrible for being treated like that just because of the color of our skin! It’s 21 century, enough is enough.

Slow. I mean slow. There was a snail outside and on our way out he said «man, they’re slow, huh?»

For a steak and shake my standards were not set very high. The waitress was no where to be found. When the food came I had to ask for utensils. She brought 2 sets and and their was 3 people. I gave the two to my children’s and had to flag her down to ask if I could have some for myself as well. She also never gave us a check. After waiting 15 minutes past the table being cleared I had to find her again and ask to pay. On top of all that the next day when I misplaced my debit card I called at 9:30 to see if it was there. I was told they had to wait for a manager to get in and she said he would call back in an hour. I called after 2 hours and a new lady answered and asked for my info again because the manager was on his break. Luckily I found my card and I didn’t have to waste more time.
I also want to add that the bathrooms where disgusting and smelled horrible! Gross!

This place is awful. We had no one greet us for two minutes when we entered and it was currently «wait to be seated». After that we did not get a waiter for ten minutes and the place wasn’t even that busy. There were 4 tables that were not bussed for the whole time we were there. Five people walked out for not being attended to (we should’ve done the same). Food was to the normal steak and shake standard. When going to pay at the cashier, was not asked about how the meal was or given any courteous attention BY THE MANAGER. Just terrible. If you have a craving for steak and shake avoid this place and find a better one nearby, perhaps the one on 59

Soooo dirty! Food is as you would expect. Great shakes. Rough service. The girl behind the counter stood around doing nothing while all the other staff ran around like crazy people. This girl… After being asked, brought out our food… Tossed it into the middle of the table and took off… Not a word… Rude.

The food is exactly what you’d expect from any other Steak n Shake location. The problem that I have with this one is that they’ve messed up my order on more than one occasion. I’d still come here over the Denny’s on the other side of the mall parking lot any day.
