Don’t bother having any part of your wedding here. Not only is the hotel only halfway renovated, but the client service is pitiful. Here for a wedding, you would think that the receptionist would pay detailed attention to the rooms that have traveling guests staying in them. Wrong. The receptionist was less than helpful, nor did she care who the guests were. Second, if you are intrigued by the bar, do not Waste your time. As most weddings are not over until 1130-12, the bar will not serve a wedding party past 12 am. Save your money and time and attend a hotel/bar who cares a bit more about their guests, especially if it will make them more money. Business is business and you should do what it takes to make your clients happy. Good luck with this one.

We booked several rooms to accommodate several extended family members for a family gathering. The Inn is much larger than I thought. The restaurant has seriously good breakfast, but not great ambiance. Continental breakfast was free, but was all cold stuff. We wanted hot, so we paid for it. The omelets and coffee were superb. We stayed in January, and both the sitting area off the lobby and the tavern had real fireplaces — and every time I walked by, there was a fire roaring away. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked very clean and nice. I did use the sauna, which was accessible via the ladies locker room. IMHO, it wasn’t hot enough, but it was still nice to sit in there in January. Free wifi is very nice. They also have one coin-operated washer machine and dryer. Buy you detergent at the front desk for $ 1. Our room had a mini-fridge and a wall-mounted flat-screen tv. The room heater is the older kind — under the window and allows you to control it completely! yay!(some hotels with newer systems limit your control of the room temperature, which I don’t like.) Our bathroom seems to have been recently remodeled and was perfectly clean. The staff was very nice. Our room was near the pool, and to get to the lobby and function rooms, we had quite a long walk that included stairs. So if you can’t walk well, make sure the reservation desk knows that. I’m giving it 5 stars for the price range. If you want upscale, modern, and new, this is not your hotel. But if you want a clean place with pretty nice amenities and excellent food and a tavern with a fireplace right on the premises, stay here.

This place is wonderful. We’ve been driving across country and found this place when we decided to stop for the night near Cleveland but didn’t want to drive too far into the city. It was exactly what we needed in every way. One of the best parts was that we knew we would just be missing dinner service by only about 10 min. So we called ahead and asked if we could put in our order and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. When we arrived we went right to the bar and had a hot meal waiting for us. The price… $ 72 for a King bed, amazing! We stayed in one of the old rooms, sure, needs a little updating but they’re working on that. The renovated bar and restaurant are adorable and the 2 meals(dinner and breakfast) we had were both wonderful. The burger was seriously wonderful. I had mine with smoked cheddar and mushrooms. This place also has a great lap pool. I doubt we’ll ever be in this area again and in need of a hotel but I would love to see how their renovations progress. Great job new owners!

For $ 72 a night you can’t beat it. We booked a room at 130am. No hassel. Friendly staff. Breast at the restaurant was good. Chicken and waffle and the English muffin were delicious. Downside: couple stains on the floor, poor water pressure and rooms were outdated. I’m rating it based on comparable hotels. And we looked at several that were absolute trash. For the price, I’d stay there again no question.

The restaurant food was DELICIOUS!!! The service was a bit slow at times, but they had just changed their menu and kitchen over the last week. They are looking to remodel, and I would very much like to visit again when they do! The head of the kitchen was one of the nicest guys around. He took lots of time just to talk and make sure the food was enjoyable.

Totally new owners managers everything since spring 2015. Ignore all previous reviews. The tavern and new restaurant called the ‘cutting board’ fabulous. Local healthy choices. Nice portions and priced right. Excited to have a place like this in aurora

Can’t wait to see what the remodeling is going to bring! This place is amazing with Old World charm as a historical stagecoach stop! My room was newly redone, a tad smaller than the big chains, but that added to the charm of the place. The indoor pool is awesome! Currently only continental breakfast, but the offerings for that were pretty good. And they serve Starbucks coffee… yumm! I can’t wait to return in the future after more remodeling/updating is done. Maybe a girlfriends night out with Aurora Farms outlets just a few miles away!!! :D

First off, hotel is about 30 minutes from an expressway… that could be either a plus or a minus for you You can tell in it’s day, this place was a swingin… not so much now Any seasoned traveler would be disappointed here… but you can see that they are trying to remodel… doesn’t happen overnight Breakfast is sparse They have flat screen TV’s in the rooms, but no HD channels and even the standard cable channels don’t all come in because they don’t have digital signal Indoor pool is amazing tho. Kids will love it Outdoor pool is budget at best Bed is comfy enough for a nite or two… pillows budget… bring your own Prices reasonable, staff nice Rumor is that they are having some celebrity designer come & help remodel. Never know about rumors, but let’s hope so

What would be EXCELLENT is if they would stop double charging me for my stay! Seriously! I called to have the double charge redacted, which they did after much haranguing. And then I just spotted ANOTHER double charge retroactively applied to my card after the fact, which also cost me a fee from my credit card. I already paid you, dammit. The room was nice, the building was nice, the staff were friendly. I’d like to see a small business like this succeed. But my two-night stay in a two-bed room in December was NOT worth $ 300+, sorry. Especially with as scant and lackadaisical a breakfast as was offered. And the apparently un-supervised and loudly drunken corporate holiday party that kept us up past midnight.

Ver nice establishment with a great indoor pool area. There are many intricacies at the property that make it feel like there are secret passages all around which played to the inner explorer of me. Our room was newly remodeled. We stayed there with our family of 5(three small children), which was a tight fit.

The Aurora Inn has everything you need in a hotel: clean rooms and beds, free breakfast, friendly staff, and great rates. They are pet-friendly, kid friendly, and have a ridiculously large pool. Sure, the décor is a little Spartan, and there aren’t a lot of frills, but this isn’t the Doubletree. It’s a historic building kind of off the beaten path. Just relax and get some rest. You don’t need WiFi… crack a book, put your feet up, and go to bed.

This is a hotel of days long past — but not so much in a charming way. The beds are small and hard, the carpet has a large floral print, the décor in the room is sparse, white, dark wood, stucco, and brass. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee or mugs. The bathroom was so small it could make you claustrophobic and just outside it was a folding closet door which impeded the way — impossible to close. The one window was tiny and partially hidden by a decorative raised wall, providing almost no natural light. Our view was of tennis courts, cracked with grass growing through. If you need an inexpensive place to stay this isn’t bad, but beyond that I’d look elsewhere.
