The Barber Place

There is nothing positive about my experience here besides the fact that my hair is shorter. The prices are ridiculous. $ 20 for a haircut before any sort of tip. Even though I’m very unhappy with my haircut, I still feel obliged to tip, so I did $ 5.
I asked for clean cut on the sides and a part to the side on top. I walked out with a military cut. The stylist didn’t even style my hair with gel when she was done. I didn’t know that was something I had to ask for. I didn’t get tapered sides. I got the clippers straight up and down on the side without a change in the guard of he blade. I didn’t even get a blow dryer run through my hair at the end to clean off all the short hairs.
I came here only because my regular barber is closed on Mondays. I’m not sure of the name of the woman that cut my hair, but she was the first chair in the left. I guess good comes to those who wait. I came in with a hat on, and I left with a hat on.

Wonderful cut! Decent price at around $ 20. The conversation was pleasant, service friendly, the interior was clean and well-​done, and the results look more expensive than they were. Biggest drawback was they didn’t accept cards, but I knew it in advance and it was no problem. I highly recommend it! I know I’ll be back.

First visit to barber place. Great place to get a quality haircut. Walk right in and almost no wait. Chris kept asking as she worked if I wanted it shorter and didn’t mind trimming a little bit at a time. Way better than most places that just buzz your hair short and push you out the door. Only reason for the 4stars is cash/​check only. I rarely carry cash, but there is multiple atm’s nearby.

First Time Customer, Just got a Terrific Flattop from Chris. She did an excellent job with great personal attention to detail. I will definitely be back in 3 – 4 weeks. Chris definitely knows how to cut a great Flattop !!!

Melissa did a really good job on me and my two grandsons. The price was very reasonable.

My son and I have been going here for years. Chris and staff are friendly and do great work at barbershop prices. I highly recommend the neck shave option with the straight razor too. Special prices for kids and seniors too.

Great place to get a haircut. both ladies are very knowledgeable and give you a great haircut at a really reasonable price. the only drawback, which I do not blame them, is that they do not take debit or credit card it is cash only. But for me when I’m in a hurry I always forget to stop and grab cash but there is an ATM nearby. There is seldom a wait over 20 minutes so you can get right in and get a great haircut.

Professional cut. Price is great for the attention to detail. I’ve been going for about 4 months and I have been really happy with every haircut I’ve received.
The ladies are really nice. Chris and Dede both do a great job. I’ve paid $ 50 for haircuts at high-​end salons and I’ve paid $ 14 at the 5-​minute buzz cut factories. You are getting a bargain for what you pay. You can’t beat $ 20. Especially if you look great when you walk out and that has been my experience at the Barber Place. Make sure to bring cash or check. No credit or debit cards accepted. I found out the hard way.

GREAT haircuts! I take my son here and they do a fabulous job! Skip the cheap 5 minute haircut. I have taken my son to these inexpensive places and the blending is poor, the neckline crooked and the cut would look uneven. A good haircut has no visible lines, the neckline is expertly tapered and the finishing lines behind and around the ears are clean.
I have been very happy with my son’s haircuts at The Barber Place, it is the best place around. And free WiFi while I wait :)

First time here. Great experience. Haircut looks good, quick service and didi was very nice.

They do very good work here. $ 19.00 men only, all work done by friendly professional female staff. Chicago sports motif. I’ll go back for sure. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher is a convenience factor. They only take cash or check, not debit or credit cards. Luckily I had my checkbook on me which was unusual for me.

The ladies here are all very nice & do quality work. Recieved good cuts both times I went here. $ 19 for men $ 15 for kids.
I used to go to Great Clips for convenience but the quality was spotty. Glad I found this place!
