Spent a boatload of money in here to be treated like shit from the security. This rent-a-cop was a complete jerk. Not returning. Making Sure everyone in my party does not return either. There are plenty of other places in the area that would be willing to take my money

They have plenty of TVs to watch sports on which is nice. Food is pretty good but service can be frustrating when they are busy. The wings are huge and my favorite on the menu. I would recommend this place for Bears games and any chicago team playoff game. If you are going to stop by more than once, do yourself a favor and get one of their refillable mugs.

It’s a cool a place, but the OTB is nice. The clientele(see smoking/drinking retirees) aren’t really my style, but to donate three times a year for horse races, I’ll go here. Pool tables, volleyball, and video gaming for all inclined. It’s typical bar food. HEYBEERHERE!

If you like sports and good bar food this is the place to be. Although they may need to update most of the tv’s this place is heaven for a football Saturday or Sunday, March madness or the NHL playoffs. The food is decently priced and the wings are awesome. We ordered the breadsticks which I believe were previously frozen… so don’t order them… Great drink specials as well. Although most may not consider this as a dive bar but it is, and also on steroids. I’ll be back to watch my sports.

Huge place with lots of TVs to watch just about any event you could imagine. The place wasn’t that busy and the service was slower than we had expected. At one point we thought the waitress had forgotten we were there. Want to try more on the food menu but tough when you can’t even get a drink.

This place wasn’t THAT bad. We visited this place at 10 pm on a Saturday night. It had a decent crowd in here. We had a table right in front of the TV and had a very attentive server. The drink specials were reasonably priced and there were a good amount of sports on.

I came in wanting to watch a hockey game on NHL network as opposed to the NFL playoffs. I sat at a table for ten minutes and literally received no service. Nobody came over the entire time. Plus the bartender wore a Tom Brady jersey, so that would take this review into minus star territory. What a terrible experience.

Friends of ours picked this spot to meet-up for our group of 10. Located by Fox Valley mall, this place has its own parking lot and plenty of spots. Enter the revolving doors and you are immediately barked at by bouncer for IDs. Look, at my age, I have no problem providing my ID; no need to bark. Our teens were given under 21 wrist bands to wear(they weren’t happy). Ventured to the back and this place is huge; lots of different seating areas. There’s a giant wall of multiple tv’s, but there are tv’s everywhere. We grabbed a long table for 10 and were greeted quickly by a server. We placed our order for a couple of beers(Stella & Bell’s Winter White) and Chili & Cheese Layered Nachos. All were brought out quickly. In fact, we had finished our beers and nachos by the time the rest of our party had arrived. The Nachos? Typical bar fare, but hit the spot. When the rest of our group arrived, husband and his buddy decide to join the Mug Club. For $ 20 you get a giant mug & beer and refills are significantly cheaper. Uh oh, guess I’m DD for the night. The teens were able to busy themselves by playing pool. We ordered more food, but it was not good(philly cheese steak, buffalo chicken wrap, pizza, BBQ brisket sandwich). However, we ended up staying for 5 hours, because our server was great about keeping the drinks flowing. A decent spot to catch-up with friends; wish the food was better. Note: under 21 patrons cannot stay past 9pm.

I’ve been here a handful of times that’s why it’s getting three stars because not all times were too disappointing. The food is very basic bar food, nothing special or memorable. It’s bland and 60% of the time colder than I prefer. The service, ha… Every waitress I’ve had was more interested in a table of guys than anything else, i.e. Checking on orders, submitting orders in, checking the tables to see if they need refills or if the order was even correct and my personal favorite… Auctioning off plate! Look doll, it’s a table of two, don’t ask who got what, if it’s a table of twelve and ur fairly young, I’ll cut you a break if you know what’s what for the most part but when your auctioning off plates to a table of 2, 3, even 4, you look… Incompetent, and it’s annoying, your effecting your tip. Bartenders are sub par. If you want a somewhat decent sports bar to go to, skip this one you’ll be disappointed.

Whoever it was working pool tables around 3 o’clock today, 10/28, should really have a sit down with a manager. I have come here many times before with my own pool equipment and used their tables with no problem. I would order food and shoot pool for a couple hours. Today this guy comes over and charges me $ 10 an hour to use the table? Takes my ID to «hold the table», like the guy with all of his own pool equipment is some kind of delinquent that’s going to ruin the table? It’s like this guy is making up new rules and policies on the fly. If I wasn’t there, you would be making $ 0 on this table. No one would be here. I was going to get some food, leave him a tip, that’s money in his pocket, but now that I’m paying, he gets nothing. I planned on staying just over an hour, hoping he would be lenient and just charge me an hour, but this guy never came back to my table. I was there for close to 2 hours and this guy came by maybe 3 times. He was nowhere to be found and it ended up inflating my bill. All I had was $ 20 dollars and the bill was $ 20.80. I left him all I had. He doesn’t get a tip and that $.80 should be a courtesy for being such a ghost. When I leave that $ 20, he follows me out and tells me «Bro, you eighty cents short. You can’t play for free.» 1) Don’t call me bro 2)I can and I HAVE played for free 3)it’s eighty cents, I brought all my own stuff and even used my own chalk I got the grossest eighty cents I could find stashed in my cup holder. I will NEVER come back to this place again. That’s just outrageous. You don’t even deserve a one star rating.

I’ve lived in Aurora for a while and even closer to the Foundry. I hate to say it but I’ve never been here. I feel horrible about that because this place is a perfect place to hang out, watch a game or just to grab a drink after a day at the office. They have a huge wall of tv’s to watch whatever you wish but be warned it is satellite. I only know that because the day I came in, the weather was not good and the service was intermittent. It is wise to anyone planning to do anything television related here to check the weather in case of any rain or bad issues, you may be disappointed. They have more than one bar and friendly service. They check ids at the door at night so don’t forget yours. Some nights they have dancing, and also has an OTB office inside so betting on the horses is an option as well. They do offer food on a limited menu at night, so make sure you grab a bite to sober up if you drink a bit too much as Aurora police sit right outside to nab anyone drunk. I recommend nachos. Because if you are drunk, who doesn’t want nachos? They are the best thing to order when you are even just one drink past the sober part.

Neat place. Cool historical items inside. Came here with a large group of people. We had two servers who were taking care of us. They were nice and got our drinks and food in a timely manner. I tried the chicken wings(I like them plain) and I have to say the portion was nice. Also, I tried their spinach dip. Pretty good. This place has a lot of potential. I will be back to try other items on the menu. I think I saw video machines… will have to check that out next time. :)

I have never had good service here so I have never stayed long enough to enjoy it. The couple times I went I was either chasing down my server to get a drink, or going to the bartender. The worst part is it was dead. If I’m ur only table/one of only a couple, you should have plenty of time to make sure I’m well taken care of. I’ve been in the service industry for years, the way I was handled was not good. I went a few times over a period of a couple years and they failed every time. Never stayed long enough to try the food. Seemed like they might have good drink specials

Entered the Foundry to use the OTB. It’s a huge place; I can’t really comment on anything about it since I was there for 5 minutes. They had a drive-thru ticket window for the Derby, which was cool. Kind of dark on the inside. I’ll eventually head back for food!

Double date on Friday ID had to be checked at the door even though there were children at multiple booths. That didn’t make sense. 1 out of 4 dishes was delicious. Lacking seasoning in 2 of the dishes and also the chips. 3rd dish was just gross; sandwich with italian dressing on it. Service was ok. Had to ask for a beer menu which is odd considering they have a mug club. We most likely will not be coming back.

I’ll admit it. I saw the less then stellar reviews of The Foundry, and went anyway. Here’s why… For starters I drive past the joint nearly every day as its right in my hood. Having read all the meh reviews, I also read about all the alleged fun activities happening inside this old movie theater. I guess you can say curiosity got the best of me. We had plans to grab some drinks with my cousin, and I thought it would be fun to go somewhere with a trivia night. Turns out… those are few and far between on a Thursday night in the Naperville/Aurora area. But at last, The Foundry hit my radar. Let me paint this picture for you… We enter to find a rather large«bouncer» at the door checking IDs which caught me off guard. He said it was open seating and you could enter thru the hallway to the left or right. Of course like the majority of people we went right and passed their OTB room which was empty. We then really had to just take a minute and gather our surroundings because there was a lot going on. A huge full wall of TVs going, an upstairs martini and smoking lounge(which I couldn’t believe existed), shuffle board, upstairs balcony seating, downstairs bar, high tops, low tops — you name it. Lots goin on here. With that being said we were literally given little to no direction. It was about 7:10 pm and we knew trivia started at 8, so we figured we’d snag a table and have drinks beforehand. I asked the bartender if we could sit anywhere for trivia and he said no, trivia night is in the room upstairs. Okay, cool. I asked if there was a bar or servers up there and he said yeah waitresses are walking around. So we head up there and it’s empty with the exception of two girls sitting at a table. So we sit at a table like total dummies(apparently) waiting for service. We waited and waited until I finally was like ok, this is ridiculous. I then went back downstairs and grabbed a waitress to get the lowdown on the upstairs trivia night. She of course didn’t know and had to ask someone else. Apparently they were still«setting up» and wouldn’t be serving folks up there until about 7:45. Ugh. Annoyed. We grabbed a table by the bar and ordered a drink(finally). Specials were weak so I went with whatever craft my boo ordered. I was kind of hungry, but to be honest I didn’t want to deal with the service and from what I’ve read I decided I probably shouldn’t waste my money. Liquid dinner it is! At 5 min to 8:00, the four of us headed upstairs to trivia like the apparent nerds that we are. It was definitely more populated now, but still not packed so we were able to snag a large table. This time around our waitress greeted is right away, and she was quick to refill drinks. Again, the specials were so lame I don’t even remember them, except for this one because it made me laugh: $ 5.99 for a burger and a beer. Our own waitress told us this was a shotty deal, and I quote, «It’s a super small thin patty and the beer is Hamms. Nothing special about that.» Way to sell it girlfriend! Needless to say, trivia didn’t end up starting until 8:30pm. It was fun, mostly because I was in good company. The questions were actually pretty hard though! You could tell the majority of players were trivia regulars — we definitely felt like the odd ball newbies. The winning team of each round wins shots, and then the end of the game first place winner takes home $ 45 with second place getting $ 25. While boozin and gaming we got the itch to munch, so we went ahead and ordered the chips and queso. It was decent — reminded me of what I used to get at Chili’s back in the day(only not as good). Bottom line, food and bevy offerings are meh, and the service sucks. However, if you’re willing to look past that, it can be a fun place to hang with friends considering all the entertainment they offer.

Love this place. Been here a dozen or so times over the last couple years. What I like is its a place multi suited for all types of people or groups. I’ve come here after dinner with my wife for drinks and to play Shuffleboard. I’ve come with a group of guys to watch football game and throw darts. Just the other day I came here with my 13 year old son to watch the afternoon Blackhawks game and we played Shuffleboard for a couple hours. Kids are allowed until 8pm. After that it’s 21 and up. Just a great overall place for entertainment with Shuffleboard being my favorite and it’s hard to find around here. They have darts, pool tables, golden tee, an actual OTB for betting the horses, and actual slot machines. Even outdoor sand volleyball in the summertime. Tons of tvs to watch the game and also they do trivia night on one of the week days. The bad part about this place is… Lousy food. Yup eat dinner before you come here. There are plenty of places to eat in the area. Also the mixed drinks here are weak, could have just been a bad bartender the day I was there but seems this is a common comment on Unilocal about this place. Beer selection is great and lots of specials. Try this place minus the food! You will have a good time!

The 2 – 3 star reviews here are spot on. This is a really clean unique atmosphere and it always feels like there’s plenty of room. Atmosphere is a 4 star experience Food is a two star experience They do a fantastic job at making very mediocre food look exciting by jabbing it with long skewers of peppers, olives etc, but the food is not great by any stretch of the imagination. Like many places of this magnitude, they have a service problem. It is just slow to order anything although food does come out quickly(coincidence their wings taste microwaved??) once you order. Beer selection is very small and simple. That appeals to some but I prefer a bigger selection. This place could be amazing if it had good food and bigger beer selection. If you sit near the smoking lounge, you will smell cigar smoke. That doesn’t bother me. I kind of enjoy it but if you are sensitive to that sort of thing you may want to look elsewhere. There is plenty of seating away from that lounge.

This place was really strange. It seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. The venue is huge, but no one was inside. On a Saturday night, we were one of the only tables. Service was just okay. The atmosphere was dark and kind of strange. The building used to be a movie theater, so it was big, dark and empty. I ordered the nachos and they were pretty good… A huge portion. Mixed drinks were pretty good as well.

Definitely not what it used to be. I’ve gone here a handful of times, and every time the service, food, and atmosphere has been mediocre. It was a rare occasion that M wanted to get out of the house Saturday night, so I suggested the Foundry, as we hadn’t visited in quite some time. We arrived and took a seat at bar. The bartender walked past us filling drink orders for about five minutes before she even acknowledged us. Come on, now. I know you’re busy, I get it. But the least you could do is say«I’ll be with you in a few» or something along those lines. Don’t make eye contact and then continue to walk away. She finally returned and took our drink order. We were halfway through our first round when I had to finally ask her for a food menu. Again, that’s something that she should have asked us if we wanted at the time we placed our drink order. Whatever. Neither of us were particularly hungry, so we opted to split an order of the chili and cheese layered nachos to snack on. Those were brought out rather quickly, surprisingly. However, for $ 10.99, I could have gotten two nacho bell grande’s at TB that would be put together better than this thing. The chips were the lovely red, yellow, and blue variety, which was a nice touch. However, all of the chili was at the bottom of the chips, basically pooling on the plate. The lettuce, sour cream, and peppers were piled at the top. The cheese was placed sporadically on the chips and was not melted well. After a few more rounds, the douche canoe crowd of early Saturday night was arriving, and I’d had enough of their arrogant attitudes, obnoxious cologne/perfume, and drunken antics. I don’t know, maybe I’m getting too old for that ish. We managed to get the bartender’s attention to close out the tab. She finally cracked a smile and was friendly for the first time all night as she brought us the check. Ugh. I love how large this place is, but with all of the projector screens, it would be nice if they invested in HD projectors. Their food prices are outrageous. Fried calamari for $ 13.99?! I don’t think I’ve ever paid that much in nice restaurants! They state that they have craft beers, but the list the bartender provided us looked like a standard beer menu. And the bathrooms were atrocious. Nearly every stall had an «out of order» sign on it. Bits of toilet paper strewn about, etc etc. I’ve seen cleaner bathrooms at O’Hare. I think Angela P. said it best; this place is lacking a true identity. I don’t even think they know what they’re supposed to be.
