Today was the last time I will waste my time going to this store. No matter what the reason, they can’t do anything I ask. This time happened to be that I simply needed my new phone I received in the mail activated and my contacts transferred over. I’ve had this done many times at other locations no problem so I figured these people could handle it. Turns out they could for once finally do something I requested, but for a $ 15 fee?! Then I was lied to by the girl when she said, «every Verizon store charges that fee». Of course I called a different Verizon store and the guy said no way. The guy I spoke with also told me how to just do it myself without even having to come in to the store. It took me minutes to switch my phones out on my own thanks to the people at the Verizon store in Naperville. Do not go to this location, they either are unable to do something, don’t know how to do something, or will try to rip you off.

I would give zero if possible. I traded in my old phone for a new one and was told I’d get a gift card for it. The girl failed to fill out the proper paperwork costing me my money. The store won’t admit fault for it even though I went in multiple times to make sure it was all in the works. After almost a year of fighting it, they still won’t do anything to help. Just keep saying ‘I cant say if she did or didn’t fill out the paperwork’ when its obvious she didn’t. They are completely unhelpful here and only care to talk about their personal lives. Go to a real Verizon store, not this franchise.

This store is the best wireless store I’ve been to in town. They took care of everything I needed and even made suggestions on how I can improve communication with my business. I highly recommend this store over others.

This is my story. Are you sitting down? Settle in, and I’ll tell you a cautionary tale so that you don’t get exploited like we did. We’ve been happy Verizon customers since July of 2000. That’s more than fourteen years of near-bliss. Yesterday, we got a package in the mail containing my new(to me) Galaxy Nexus. Since this store on Butterfield is the closest store to our home, my husband made a quick trip to purchase a new SIM card. He knew that there might be a nominal charge for the card, but didn’t know what to reasonably expect. This store, a franchise, charged him $ 20 for the card. After he got home, he became curious about how that cost compares to what other stores charge. It only took a few phone calls to uncover the depth of the gouging. The cost of a SIM card for good customers like us at a corporate Verizon store? ZERO. Zilch! So, then we got curious about the practices of other franchised Verizon stores. We called around and found stores that only charge $ 10 for the cards, which(according to the stores themselves) is the«at cost» price. The moral of the story? If you can at all help it, always always always seek out a corporate store. In particular, steer clear of this specific franchise. We did have a happy ending to this story, but only because a Verizon phone representative listened to our story and credited our account for the $ 20. Verizon would be smart to more carefully oversee their franchised stores. They are a shadow of the real thing.
