This Walmart is a bit of a shitshow. I was spoiled by the massive, brightly lit, newer building in Plainfield. Then I moved back to Aurora. Meh. This Walmart will do the job, and they have self checkouts, not something every Walmart has. They also have customers who stand in the parking lot while incoherently babbling, scatting, yelling, etc. Again, not something every Walmart has. It’s not a super Walmart, but there is a small grocery section, but why bother grocery shopping here when there is an Aldi and a Jewel across the street?

It’s dirty, they got rid of a ton of good employees years ago and replaced them with bad ones. I feel bad for the nice, good workers that are left. That’s A LOT of slack to pick up. I have had several issues. I live nearby and only go in here when it’s a last resort. *shiver*

Walmart Pharmacy Review: Expect VERY long lines, pharmacists too busy or too good to help out the techs, especially when there’s an awful line of people waiting. Not very good either with follow up calls as I was told they’d call when my ex was in but never heard from them. If you want low prices with even lower levels of customer service and serious aggravation come here.

A bit of a drive for me, but worth the trip once a month to pick up essential products. The prices are good, better than the popular food chain stores. On the grocery end of things if you your looking for more bulk products keep your membership cards at Cosco & Sam’s. The only downfall I found was the produce. The meats were a great value and the generous cuts of Country Ribs are really good. There is a Subway in this Walmart and a Pet Grooming service, where you can see the dogs being groomed. The lines were short to my amazement, I ended up with two carts full of products, and the cashiers were quick and efficient. I only shopped in the grocery and home goods department. Not enough time in the day to see the other departments. Make sure you plan out an afternoon of this, there is so much to see and buy, my overall trip was 4 hours in length by the time I got home. Then another hour just unloading and putting away stuff. I was glad to hit the couch after this trip, even my son was exhausted. A good tip for parents with kids, hit the Subway first, get one of those huge gourmet pretzels and let the kid(s) munch on that while you shop. It keeps their mouths busy and less junk food in your cart.
