God forbid that you are summoned to jury duty in the 299th district court.
Judge Charles F. Baird humiliated me in front of other potential jurors, asking me «just who do you think you are» and telling me I was a bad citizen when I showed up (early) and told the bailiff that I needed to reschedule due to work. (It was a film shoot that moved on to date).
Never mind that the bailiff informed us that 20% of the people had not shown up at all.
Never mind the fact that this was my first attempt to postpone and have shown up twice before in years past when summoned with no issue.
It’s not like I was ON the jury. This was the impaneling.
NOTE: If you happen to get a jury summons in the mail, DO NOT choose to respond to summons online unless you are sure you can 100% show or be prepared to have a new asshole ripped by a judge with a hard on for rippage.
