Have gone to Abe’s for years and have always been treated with respect and honesty. There is a new awesome mechanic there and had my rotors replaced and was on the road in no time. These guys are great!

Serhat Akbas has moved to California where he has been operating as an unlicensed mechanic. I paid him to do a COMPLETE engine rebuild on my engine and he didn’t even take off the rear valve cover, the engine has loads of sludge, the timing gear was damaged, the heads (that were supposed to be resurfaced by the machine shop) were damaged, etc., Yet he won’t refund the money even at the recommendation of a representative of the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.

Ok, if you haven’t been to Abe’s — you have missed out. This little mechanic shop is the best. I go here for things not related to my Computer Chip, like brakes, shocks, struts, etc. It’s not that I think they wouldn’t do a good job on computer chip stuff, I just like a GM certified mechanic to operate on (and be liable for) that one little thing that seems to totally govern if my car turns on or not.
The guys at Abe’s are friendly, honest, and save me A LOT of $$$ and are typically pretty quick. Love them!
Sometimes it can be easy to pass them — if you’re going North on 183/​Research, they are right by the Taco Cabana. Go get some breakfast while they work on your car.

If Serhat Akbas is the owner here you truly might want to avoid this automotive shop at all costs. He supposedly replaced the throttle body in my 2004 Nissan Sentra back on 8÷21÷2012. The very same day the «check engine» light came back on as if nothing had been done. I drove it another two weeks before I had to call Serhat to have the car towed back into his Auto Doctor Garage on Pond Springs road on Thursday 9÷7÷2012. To date my car is still in his garage and him and his General Manager Mike Reese telling me every day that it will be ready tomorrow, today, tonight, etc. As told to me, the first throttle body was defective and it then took them 8 days to get the new replacement in. Yesterday I was told the replacement throttle body is now in the car and that they need another key to drive the car to reset the computer as the first key I left with them is officially lost. They told me later yesterday afternoon that it would be ready later last night. Now they do not even answer the phone. and as a matter of fact, Serhat’s phone will not even take a message as the voice mail is full… wow is all I can say. I guess I have been lied to all along and now wonder if they have even done anything to the car at all…
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE IF SERHAT AKBAS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PLACE AS YOU COULD WELL END UP WHERE I AM AT, WITH NO CAR FOR 10 DAYS GOING ON 11 NOW, LESS ONE KEY… FOR JUST A THROTTLE BODY REPAIR… I’m certain Serhat and Mike have been lying to me all along as this saga will not end…

When my car broke down, the AAA driver who jumped my car recommended that I go to Abe’s for a repair. I needed a starter.
At first I was a bit concerned because the shop is not much to look at, but ultimately I was very pleased with their work. Serhat seemed to be an honest, knowledgable, and no-​nonsense type guy. The price he quoted me was $ 60 cheaper than what Firestone could offer. He even threw on some new connectors for my battery (the old ones were getting pretty shoddy). I was also happy that he started working on my car right when I pulled up, so I didn’t have to wait any longer than necessary for the repair.
Haven’t had any car trouble since.

Serhat is a GREAT mechanic! He’s saved me $$ numerous times. Reliable, trustworthy, highly recommended.
