They are sell outs. These people allowed the municipal transit system to raise ‘reduced’ bus fares astronomically high against our cost of living and stagnant social services benefits. And they also don’t protest the rollbacks in fixed route services, which disproportionately impact people who are unable to drive specifically because of disability. A ramp onto a bus is a hollow victory when we suddenly lack bus routes themselves or physically cannot get to the bus stop because of broken sidewalks. But they will protest not being invited to a civil rights conference??? Untill they wake up and demand social justice again, they’ve lost credibility with people who actually do have disabilities.
