My wife and I came out of The Yogurt Spot on Guadalupe to find a squirrelly little man with a yellow truck in the process of stealing her car. Since there is no parking available in front of The Yogurt Spot, we parked in front of Sun Hing restaurant (next door). Sun Hing, mind you, had ZERO customers at 9:40 pm on this 25-​degree Wednesday evening.
So yeah, squirrel-​man proceeds to tell us there were signs «all over» the yogurt place saying not to park there (there aren’t … There are signs that say not to park at Torchy’s but none that mention Sun Hing). Then, trying to act as if he’s a nice guy doing us a favor and not in fact a breathing turd, he says he’ll un-​hook the car for $ 50 cash.
The problem here is, we were in there for 10 minutes. How did Mr. squirrel-​turd know we were in the yogurt shop? The answer: He stakes the place out and watches where people go.
And that, my friends, is slimy.
