Albert Oaks

I was invited to a dinner at Albert Oaks. It’s such a cute B&B and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The dinner was delicious and by the end of the evening I really felt at home.

This cool b&b brings together all the great things of Austin: funky rooms with new modern furnishings, delicious chef prepared meals with organic ingredients l resting on a beautiful 2 acres of orchards. This little b&b is very homely, the staff is amazing and very personable and it’s located in the heart and soul of south Austin, I definitely recommend anyone to stay for a romantic weekend or even if you’re in town for work, it offers a really cool vibe and excellent amenities. We definitely will be back, thanks!!!

Albert Oaks is an amazing one of a kind place to stay. I first saw the property last month and I felt right at home. My boyfriend and I got to have a glass of wine and watch T.V. on the back patio the night we arrived. There was a fire going and the patio was covered in plants. Damon, the owner, is the chef and he was out smoking meat on one of the smokers out back. The organic garden was impressive and it was really cool to watch the lettuce be harvested for my dinner that night. Their yard had a trail lined with Oak trees and a young orchard that was just planted this year.
We stayed in the Willie Nelson suite. Since the building is new, everything has a super clean feeling to it. Our room had a door that let out onto a patio that looked over where we had just been having wine. All the T.V.‘s in the house where huge and there was WiFi and cable in every room. Our room had a desk which worked well for me because it seems I am always working. The room was quite and the people we encountered were mature and friendly.
We had a hot breakfast the next day that had many organic and local ingredients. That is really important to me. They also had fresh fruit out with granola bars in between the apples for snacks. We liked having the option of having lunch their too, but we didn’t get around to it. Maybe next time we will plan on it.
