Writing a will or trust has been on my «to do» list for ages. I’m from California, and Meghan was very informative about the differences in the state’s estate laws and what we needed given our circumstances. We both bring some interesting baggage and complications to our estate issues, and Meghan was very helpful and understanding about our particular needs. We have special needs kids and ex-​spouses and we’re not married yet and we just bought a house and we traveled overseas and she got this stuff DONE fast so we could travel with peace of mind. She asked good questions, had great suggestions, and, as our situation is evolving, reminded us that we can make changes as time continues. Her approachable manner made it very easy. I’ve met a lot of estate lawyers, and she is, by far, the most down-​to-​earth and straight-​up lawyer I’ve ever met. She is not a «mahoghany desk» lawyer who tries to intimidate you, or who is condescending in any manner. She’s the real deal. Do yourself a favor, call and book an appointment and get these issues off your «to do» list.

We went in for a consultation last Friday and thought Meghan was knowledgable and very forthright. I liked that she wasn’t pushy and gave us advice even though we may not end up using her service. Meghan gave us references for reputable trust lawyers. We have a property in Chicago and it’s one of the states that have horrible probate.
We would definitely recommend using Meghan if you don’t plan on having a living trust created. Definitely worth going and talking to her regarding your situation because she will be able to shed some light into what may be a good path for you.
Also, when you call they are upfront about the service fee which is awesome.

I read several other reviews and they mostly echo our sentiment. My wife and I decided on biting the bullet in getting our estate planning done. I, like many others, found the law firm through a review page … probably Unilocal.So the bottom line is Meghan gave us an education and her honest opinion between Wills and Trusts; but backed up by facts, examples and what «most clients would do». Then you sprinkle in some humor, interesting cases, and personal experiences … it made it easy to choose Meghan to draft/​execute our estate documents. We chose to write Wills!
Costs were in-​line with the market; but WAY … WAY cheaper than the law firm that wanted to do a trust for us. The process to draft the all important five (5) documents was EASY and SIMPLE, and was completed in a timely manner. Therefore, I gave 5-​stars!
