I think the company is going through some transitions right now which may have resulted in our below par service. We used Aquaman for about 3 months and the last month the pool has been unusable. Right off the bat there where minor instructions that were not followed, but Jim the owner came right out and we went over the issues and he said he would address them with our pool guy. I easily overlooked the issues and was impressed that Jim came right out. The next couple of visits were fine and the pools condition was great. The next visit our pool guy arrived, opened the gate and then left. I. Called the office later the next day as I thought he might come back. I had to call a second time the next week because my original vm was not returned. We could not use the pool that weekend because it needed cleaning. Once I did get a call back I was told or pool guy had been left go and Jim was handling all the service calls. The next week we a random pool guy showed up to clean the pool saying he was filling in and had no idea of any instructions. After he left the pool was still dirty. So I called the office yet again and the next day Jim cleaned the pool. The same random guy came the following week and left the pool dirty and green. This meant we spent father’s day using a dirty, green pool, Yuck. Once again Jim came back out to clean the pool. Another issue is they do not leave door hangers so there is very little communication. It has been another two weeks and the pool is still green. Jim has been by several times the last two weeks and had a plan to clear up the pool. It is his hard work that allowed me to give 3 stars instead of 2. Unfortunately, the pool is still green so we had to leave Aquaman.

Jim is my pool hero. Seriously. Our previous pool contractor got us to the plaster phase and then walked with our money and filed bankruptcy without paying any of his subcontractors. Jim has been our saving grace in getting back up and running. He swooped in and saved the day. Thanks to Jim, all of our equipment is now up and running and our pool looks beautiful. Jim even made recommendations to save us money and replaced parts to make our equipment more efficient. He is super knowledgeable and honest and we could not be happier about having him on our side after such a horrific experience. It’s so refreshing to be working with a contractor who is true to his word and punctual. Never has Jim told us he’d do something he didn’t do or get it done exactly when he said he’d do it. His prices seem very reasonable and he even offered to manage the other subs to finish out the job properly, as well as help us make sure all of our permits are closed. We highly recommend this pool company! Thank you, Jim!

We called Jim from Aquaman Pool and Spa after trying to get our pool heater fixed, unsuccessfully, by two previous pool service companies. Jim was able to come out promptly, diagnose the problem easily(something the previous two companies hadn’t been able to do), and give us several repair and replacement options. Once we made a choice, Jim ordered the part and installed it within a few days(this is after we’d been getting the run-around from the previous two companies for months, so Jim’s promptness was very refreshing). He was very straight-forward and professional, and also gave us tips and suggestions for maintaining other aspects of our pool we’d always wondered. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get their pool serviced or repaired.
