Arlene Maze was wonderful to work with in selling our home. Arlene not only gets back to you with freakish immediacy, she seems to have anyone and everyone related to the home buying process on speed dial. By anyone and everyone, I mean the other realtors, the lenders, the inspectors, the foundation repair offices and ‘the friend of a friend who did my neighbor’s plumbing last month who can come out and get things tested before the option period ends.‘
She will meet you to view a house at 8am, and also work with impossible schedules in order to go over final details of a contract at 10pm in order to meet a deadline. All the while maintaining a PHENOMENAL attention to detail who is always fully present and attentive when she’s with you. She is one of those people that makes you philosophically contemplate how it’s possible that she has more clients than just you. Logically I KNOW she has multiple clients, but she always makes you feel like your the only one.
Arlene proved over and over again the reasons a good realtor is much, much more than just the necessary gatekeeper with key codes to open the door so you can view the house. She has great office staff working with her as well as years of knowledge to let you know what aspects of a house to spend money to inspect further and which ones seem okay. Viewing homes with Arlene doesn’t involve superficial chat like paint colors or landscaping. Conversations with Arlene involve information such as: ‘The houses in this area were built on this type of soil so over the last xx years I’ve seen a lot of foundation repairs… the geography of that area is xx soil so your risk is a bit lower.‘
Having a superbly experienced, knowledgeable and CONNECTED realtor like Arlene is really the only way to buy a house in Austin. If you can get onto her client list, do! :)

As first-​time homebuyers, there was a lot we were nervous about, beginning with who to choose to represent us. After weighing a couple of options, we went with Arlene, and there is no doubt that was the one of the best decisions we ever made. Arlene knew the market inside and out, and she only needed a couple of minutes inside a property to size it up and know whether or not it was worth our attention. Speaking of attention, not having such a big budget to work with, we were worried that we would never find something we were happy with, and also were concerned we would not get much TLC from our agent. Arlene proved us incredibly wrong on both counts. We continued having doubts that we would find the property for us, but Arlene came through in a huge way! And we cannot imagine being treated any better or given any more attention if our budget had been much much larger. Anytime anything came up, Arlene was there to take care of it, and she always followed through until the issue was settled. We will definitely use Arlene in the future and recommend her to anyone who asks!

I can’t say enough good things about Arlene Maze! As a first time home-​buyer, I had many questions and concerns about the process and Arlene completely understood my needs and was very patient with me. In Austin’s crazy real estate market you have to act fast and whenever a new listing came up Arlene was responsive and available to set a showing in no time. Her knowledge and understanding of the market and current trends is impressive. Her reliability and credibility are like no other. I always had the feeling that she wanted me to make the right decision and she never acted as if she was trying to push me to buy something, just so that she could move on. Now, after the all buying process is set and done and I moved to my new place (exactly in the area that I was looking to buy), I can look back and say that I had the right professional on my side. Arlene has sold 2 of my houses for me and I could not be more pleased with her services. For both houses, her market analysis was thorough and accurate. She provided staging with furniture and all sorts of little details. She also helped us through responding to requests stemming from inspection results. Overall, I could not be more pleased and that is why I used her services again for the second house. Definitely recommend.

Words cannot describe how much Arlene has done for us. Let me start off by saying that I am not exactly the easiest of customers– I wanted a house, but had no idea about what I wanted in a house. Arlene was so incredibly patient with me and helped me through this whole house buying process. Having never bought a home, I was really nervous about the whole experience, but Arlene held my hand through all of it. She was supportive and knowledgable. She made sure I looked at a multitude of houses/​condos in different areas and at different times so that I could get a general taste for what it is that I really wanted. If I mentioned a house that I liked she would find a way to show me that house within the day. If I liked a certain type of house that was off the market, she would scour the area for a house that was comparable to it. When we looked at houses, she was the first to point out any damages or any framework issues that I would have never thought about. She made sure that if I wanted to put an offer on a house that I knew exactly what I was getting into. During the whole contract-​signing process, she would look over everything to make sure that I was not signing anything I didn’t agree to. She even took the time to explain the contract in layman’s terms to me. In the end, she found me a little town home that I am so in love with. Arlene is truly the best person to have guided me through this process, I am so happy that I had the opportunity to work with her.

Arlene helped us buy our first house. It took a year to find the right place and she stuck with us the entire time. She took the time to get to know us and determine what our like and dislikes were. I can tell she was very busy, but was able to respond to all of our emails instantly (even the ones that we sent late at night). If there was a house that popped up that we wanted to look at, she set up the time and all the information on the house within the day.
As we looked at houses she brought up concerns that we would have never thought of as first time home buyers and made it feels as if she was buying the house with us. I have not had any other Realtor to compare to her too and I don’t plan to ever have a different one. I would gladly ask her help when I need to buy my second, third, and fourth home.

Arlene helped us purchase a home in NW Austin in 2008 and helped us sell the same home in 2014 and facilitated a home purchase for us in summer 2014.
