Albert Sr, Albert Jr, Robert, Joseph, Bobby! What’s not to love about this printing company! They print newsletters, letterhead, church programs, advertisements, banners, T-shirt’s, whatever you need they can print it and the customer service is spectacular! Family owned businesses are rare these days, especially ones that are up to date and technology and program savvy! Art Jam can supply all of your printing and copying needs and with minimal turn around!!!

What’s not to love about ArtJam? In a city where we pride local upstarts and non-chain establishments, it seems people are always ready to hit the Kinko’s when it comes to a print job. But purely by happenstance(or was it?), I ran across ArtJam, a family-owned business on the East Side. Robert, the sales manager, was canvassing one day and dropped his card with our office manager, or gave it to me(the one in charge of all things written, printed and designed). Quite honestly, it got lost on my desk amid a sea of post-it notes and deadline-driven publications. It wasn’t until several months later that I unearthed it; I needed to get a bid for some printing, and I figured what the hell? I had no idea it would spawn a working relationship. Their quote was ridiculously lower than the other two I received… almost scary, actually. I wondered aloud to my co-worker how they could do a job so cheaply — were they privy to a sweatshop of illegal immigrants? Were they breaking child labor laws or importing banned inks and paper? As it turns out, it’s none of that; they have minimal staff and, I suspect, very low overhead. They turned my job around with lightening speed, several days earlier than I was first quoted. And here’s the kicker — not only did Robert himself deliver it, but he was totally flexible with payment. He arrived while we were packing for a major conference, and we couldn’t get our hands on the company checks. He didn’t even bat an eyelash, and graciously said they would bill us later. On a subsequent job, he emailed me to inquire about an unpaid invoice — our office manager had resigned and we were flying solo, so the invoice had fallen through the cracks. I apologized profusely and promised a remedy. I attempted to pay via credit card, but they’re not set up for that(which is the only reason I took off one star). He said plainly, «If you tell me the check is coming, I trust you — your word is good enough for me.» Unbelievable. These guys are truly gems. I understand they also do graphic design work and mass mailings; we’ve not needed them for that, but I have no doubt they do quality work in those areas as well. It’s rare I so resoundingly endorse a company, but I have no problem suggesting ArtJam to anyone willing to listen: they are professional, courteous, quick and affordable, and are always on the top of my list. I only wish we had more business to throw their way.
