Jennifer is great! I love love my color. The shop is eclectic and probably not for you if you want a high end experience (my guess is that this just the way the majority of the customers and Jennifer want it to be). If you want fantastic hair this is the place. So glad a friend recommend it. I will be a long time customer.

This salon is about preference. I can completely see why some people love it but it wasn’t for me. For one, the salon has a very cluttered feel which just makes me uncomfortable. The main thing I disliked is how much Jennifer answered the phone while she was cutting my hair. For one, I didn’t even realize that she had a bluetooth earpiece so the first time she answered it caught me completely off guard. She would answer the phone when I was literally mid-​sentence and didn’t even say excuse me, one second or anything of the sort. To me, that is just rude.
The positive, she is cheap in the world of haircuts and she was able to get me in pretty quickly. In all honesty, those two things would make it easy to get past the cluttered shop feel but I just can’t overlook the rudeness of constantly being interrupted.

I moved to Austin from NYC and had a devil of a time finding someone who was trained in Opti. Smooth straightening.
On that, for the other curly haired women out there who don’t adore their curls, this Matrix product is THE best and I’ve quite literally tried all of them from Japanese to Brazilian to Keratin.
But I digress… after 6 months of searching online and wondering if I was going to have to fly back to NY to get my hair done, I found A’Salon and Jennifer and I’m so thrilled that I did.
Not only did she do a masterful job at the straightening, but I just had her do my color and cut and I’m in love with my hair again.
Also, in addition to her mad hair skillz, I love the warm and welcoming atmosphere of her salon.

This place is a hidden gem. I really loved Jennifer’s work. She chose the color exactly what I wanted — my hair looks nice and shiny. Her prices are so reasonable, too. I will definitely come here again.

I walked into Jennifer when she was at another salon 15 years ago, and have been with her since. She gives value cuts to the guys, but it is clear the ladies love her. She watched me and wife have babies, did their first haircut, and now we all drive to other side of town for her. She has her own salon, runs it solo, and is dependable as heck. She is part of family, her prices are more than reasonable, and I think the ladies would put her at the top echelon of hair stylists.
