Mr. Matt Fitch,
Funny how karma eventually catches up with you. Matt was our grass cutting guy before this current venture and came to cut the grass one weekday while I was at home. We pay for 4 cuttings at a time because it’s just easier. Well I wrote him a check that day for $ 140 and unbeknownst to me that would be the last time I ever saw him. 2 weeks later the grass was getting high and since I travel for business my wife sent him a text message asking him when he is coming by to cut the grass as it’s high. He informed her he no longer is cutting grass. She said thanks for letting us know and to refund the $ 140. He said he would put a check in the mail and long story short after multiple texts between him and my wife of excuses why he hasn’t sent the refund, months later he finally informed my wife he filed for bankruptcy and sorry for our loss. Shortly after that my wife received a notice from the bankruptcy court including us in the bankruptcy. What a great way to do business Matt. Deception and thievery eventually catch up to you. Oh and Matt, my wife still has ALL the text exchanges in the event you would like me to post those to this review.

Update: true to form, Matt Fitch only cares about making money and having the last word because he makes a post on Unilocal in response to my negative review, but he STILL has not replied to even one of the dozens of messages I left him. I also find it risible when he claims that he did all the work he promised me. We had an agreement, both verbal and contractual, that he close all holes through which a pet can escape in my deck because a safe enclosure for my pet was the entire reason that I was having this work done, as he very well knows. There are giant gaps in several areas that Matt Fitch PROMISED he would fix the following weekend. He did nothing.
In addition, he again promised that he would repair a few minor sections of fencing the next weekend at no additional cost because of what we had agreed to. Again, his word is useless. With regards to his 10 day check story that in his mind excuses him from acting like a decent human being, EVEN THAT is false. The first check he cashed from me was from the same bank and for twice the quantity; he cashed that in two days. Unsurprisingly, he cashed the next one in two days as well once he deposited it, but only after he accused me, in dozens of threatening messages, of having issued him, 100% BASELESSLY, a bad check. He never apologized.
Matt Fitch may try to salvage his reputation online in order to mislead other working individuals out of their hard earned money, but I hope you don’t fall for this charade. His word means nothing. Unless you feel like writing a negative review on Unilocal every time you want him to notice you, if not reply to your phone messages – expect a 4 week turnaround – I would go with one of the dozens of other providers in Austin who actually care about and appreciate their customers. Do not let his biased and untruthful reply rewrite history to be more favorable to him than he deserves.

Worst company drivers in the world. Was coming home from work and they were honking throwing trash out of their truck, driving toward cedar park 183. License plate number Crj6438 nearly ran someone off the road while forcing way back on to 183 from side of road. If these are the type of people you want to have work for you I can almost guarantee horrible service.
Road rage

Matt was at my construction site same day and single handily picked up all the construction debris and ALL for very reasonable price. I will certainly call him again for future remodeling/​construction cleanup. He also is training to be arborist and seems to know a lot about landscape needs. Great personable guy.
