I brought my Rickenbacker 620– which can né a tricky guitar to work on– in to Jason to have it repaired, and not only did he fix the issue I brought it in for, he identified and fixed a few others I hadn’t even noticed. He was fast, affordable, and laid back & professional, and my guitar sounds better than it ever has. I’ve been recommending this place to everyone I know.

Jasan provides friendly and attentive customer service. But more importantly he is a gifted luthier and musician. He took my 30 year old Sigma D10 into the 21th century with a Fishman pickup and pre-amp. As I also included in my request, he created and installed a new compensated Micarta bridge, and put the whole action as low as it sensibly could be. He did all this in just a few days. The work was impeccable and the guitar sounds and looks incredible. And price was very reasonable! I also had him swap in a new SD Trembucker pickup in my BC Rich Mockingbird Ice. So that you may appreciate his skill, the Ice series is clear Acrylic, rather than wood. Every mistake is highly visible. Well, he didn’t make any! My mockingbird growls like it’s supposed to, now. Again, reasonable price and essentially one day turnaround. I do highly recommend ATX Guitarworks and owner Jasan!

Took my guitar in about a week ago to fix one of my tuning knobs that broke off. Jason went above and beyond to help me out by repairing my guitar and giving me advice on affordable ways to keep my guitar up to par. Glad I chose to go to ATX Guitar Works, would definitely go again and recommend to others.

I found ATX Guitarworks while looking at post on CRAIGSLIST. I was needing to replace a bridge humbucker on my pride and joy Washburn electric guitar. I got the number made a call and the owner answered. I told him my problem and he informed me he had a humbucker that came from a guitar he had done upgrades on. Then told me the price. Lets say this i went from the phone call to his store in 20 min. The store is easy to find and not a monster mega shove it in your face guitar store. It is a simple down to earth real place. Jasan the owner is Guitarworks chief cook and bottle washer. I have been in Austin a long while and the live music capitol of the world has all kinds of music stores. I have been to almost all of them. I must say that i have never been recieved and treated any better by any of the competitors even the big box mega stores. Jasan is aware of the wants and needs of his clients. I was at home there. So much so that i returned the next day to drop off my washburn. Jasan took a tablet and pen and asked me what i had that i wanted to stay the same and what needed to be improved. He did this in a matter of fact manor that made me a part of the process and not a pat on the head and you get what you get. like allmost all the other local music stores do. To sum up. You need quality repaires upgrades or advice you will find that and get the respect you and yourgear deserve. Plus the pricing is going to blow your mind. Stop in have a look meet the man and I bet that i will see you ther as it will be the game changer in get the most bang for your buck music store. Thanks

A neighborhood gem. Had a pickup installed in my guitar. Jason did a great job. He went out of his way to answer any question or concerns. There is no doubt this guy knows his stuff and takes great pride in his work. He even fixed a minor buzzing problem right before my eyes, without charging extra. I was even educated on guitar maintence during the process. He also worked around my busy music schedule to have the installation complete. Prices are affordable, guitar work is done right and the atmosphere is cool. Highly Recommend!

ATX Guitar Works decked out my guitar at a very affordable rate and in a timely-manner. Jasan worked on my Hofner VT; a semi-hollow body guitar. His shop is located in a very convenient area, was easy to find, and I faced virtually no traffic issues while driving here. Jasan reset the action on my guitar, replaced the bridge pickup, installed a new input jack, changed out the tuners, and carved a new nut for me. Jasan was very down-to-Earth and knowledgeable. He listened to the issues I had with my guitar, and resolved them within my budget. Jasan even helped me find the right pickup based on a verbal description of the type of tone I wanted. My guitar feels, plays, and sounds great. A very slight problem was quickly corrected on the house. I trust Jasan with my guitar and am very pleased with his service.
