Okay. I’m adding a couple more stars to my previous review. I finally did get my financial aid, and it didn’t take as long as they had initially said it would, but it took 3 months into the semester. So I’m grateful for that, but it still didn’t help me pay for my classes. There are a couple really helpful people in the financial aid office, and a lot that don’t seem interested in helping. I’m not blaming anyone, and I know that it’s a whole «system» thing, and doesn’t come down to one or two people.

It is nice place to go and study. The testing center is mostly empty. Don’t like the hours of the bookstore but it is a small campus.

I have never been more disgusted by how someone has treated another human being before in my life!!! WOW I will NEVER go to this tutoring center again! I witnessed a ESOL tutor belittle a student and yell at her in front of the whole tutoring center! This happened on Monday March 2nd around 12pm. Rest a sure I will be filing a complaint about this situation and hope to NEVER see this happen again. I was completely disturbed and disgusted by her.

I have no idea why there’s a low rating to this particular Austin Community College. Yes I should read the reviews but I support community colleges which provide lower tuition costs for higher education. Now I know there have rising tuition fees, etc… but not everyone can go to a university.
I’ve been taking courses for a graphic design certification. Even though you might have a Bachelor’s degree, there’s nothing wrong in going back to school for enrichment. My dad always told me never stop learning.
Also, this particular college campus hasn’t given any bad service. Don’t let the one and a half star rating fool you.

There is a café on the first floor they have a variety of food and snacks. It is run by a really nice couple. The pearl drinks recommended. Avoid the vending machines ripe-​offs!

Beautiful Campus… Awful Library staff!
I have taken one class here before and have attempted to do homework in the library as I have at other locations. This particular day I happened to have my quiet and WELL BEHAVED children with me. I wasn’t the only one there with a child however I was the only one that was pulled aside and told my children were unwelcome due to a «school policy». I actually work at another campus and have had my children there as well as other campuses adn have never been informed of this policy.
Aside from my child incident, at this same visit, I asked for assistance checking out an item and was turned away because I already had an item out. Another policy I hadn’t heard of until this visit.
