I haven’t seen anyone review this business for their alterations yet; if you need alterations this place is great! Lilia Balli is awesome. It took a little longer than usual to get a pair of pants altered, but they were expensive pants and I didn’t mind. Lilia did also let me know upfront that it would be two weeks to make sure I was okay with the wait time. I would rather them be taken care of, and altered properly than have someone rush to do the job. She is my new tailor! I will definitely be taking anything and everything to her!

Gor.geous. I stopped by because I missed the most recent Shop Hop, and I also saw that my nearby fashion fabrics shop(The Fabricker) closed and joined forces with Stitched and Lilia Balli to form the Fabric Co-Op. Um, YES. The outside is definitely Burnet-charming, but inside — all kinds of understated glamour, in my opinion. Okay, glamourous in my eyes, because there’s this vintage-rustic but clean-simple-streamlined vibe and, like Stitched, the sole focus is literally on these gorgeous gorgeous knit fabrics. Okay, not just knits, but primarily so soft knits, and sweater-y knits, and other fabrics that I don’t have enough knowledge of to describe. The fabrics are hung with care, featured like a fashion boutique features apparel; even the hand-tags are chic. I was literally just browsing because I’m on a self-imposed-no-buy, and I had thought they might carry some possible fabrics for my girls’ baptismal gowns — Let me tell you, I almost walked out with so much unrelated-but-oh-so-beautiful yardage(especially this ivory, 3-dimensional roses yardage! I don’t even know what I’d do with it!), but the incredible ladies in the store let me walk out with a few handfuls from the scrap basket(AWESOME!) instead — Now I get to practice my sewing skills before ruining some precious materials, whew! Nutshell(tldr;) — Stop by here for some inspiration, some fabulous knits, and some other unique apparel fabrics that say«classic,» «effortless,» «chic» — I don’t know, I feel like I’m doing a terrible job conveying how cool this place is. Chic boutique fabrics, not frou frou.

I was on the Shop Tour this past weekend and noticed this place from a distance. I decided to go in a take a look. I was very very impressed with the choices they had to offer. I walked around in excitement and thinking I would love to make a dress out of this, and I would love to have a shirt out of this. Their was even a seamstress on hand to make your clothes for you out of your findings. This place was AWESOME! I will be returning this week with my daughter for her to find some fabric she likes. Stop by you won’t be disappointed. This is not your regular old fashioned fabric store you may be use too. 2014 baby…
