I’m from out of town and we decided to get breakfast and the tacos are the worse that I have ever tasted. I want to say they use egg beaters instead of real egg and added cheese. The rest of the store looked clean and has your typical gas station items.

Hi I just picked up two breakfast tacos and they are absolutely terrible. There’s zero flavor, the cheese is hard and cold. The tortilla was the only hot part of the tacos. I am extremely dissatisfied.

Sometimes I wish Unilocal would allow half star reviews. The back patio is the best part of this place. It ended up being a comfortable way to relax before an appointment. The breakfast taco was tasty but a bit pricy at $ 3. The coffee was average which is a disappointment for a place that has Java as its name.

I give this place three stars. The food is very tasty. We had two of their pasta dishes with grilled chicken. They were well seasoned, the chicken was tender and the pasta was cooked perfect. They need to make crushed red pepper available. The wait staff is very nice but management needs an attitude adjustment.

Fantastic view, friendly and helpful staff, but poor offerings. And unfortunately, it’s the last part that really matters. The pastries were on par with Mrs. Baird’s(not a compliment) and I had to ask the staff to replace my Americano with a drip coffee because the former tasted like dishwater. The drip coffee was fine but not good. As I said, the staff was happy to help out, but the product just wasn’t very good.

I am giving this location 4 stars because the outdoor view and workspace is phenomenal. I will definitely be returning for this reason and because it’s a great place to study. Being that this location is part of a gas station, it’s not the most visually appealing inside. It seemed a little messy and unorganized; not to mention there was only one person working both the cash register inside and the drive thru. The coffee was great and the prices are comparable to other coffee spots; however, the food seemed to be ridiculously overpriced. I got a sausage wrap for $ 5.99 and it wasn’t warmed beforehand or very good at all. Again, definitely returning but it’s mostly for the view.

I so want to like this Austin Java. It is a tough location but much needed for the area. I have visited numerous times and truly try to buy local aka Trianon, Austin Java, etc before Starbucks. But bottomline there is a reason this chain struggles. It was not very attractive and had an unclean look. Behind the counter was unkept and not very presentable. It was about 1:30PM so not a high traffic time. I just wanted a sandwich that was already premade and a soda. I stood at the counter and waited, waited, waited very patiently. Finally I had to literally go in the back room and get the only employee on duty off the phone to see of she could check me out. She did. Hastily. No bag. No thank you. Then she went back to her call. It is not pleasant to admit but Love ‘em or hate ‘em…there is a reason Starbucks wins the day.

First time here. Got the Vietnamese iced coffee… which was HOT. And a bagel with cream cheese. Bagel tasted stale and felt like it came out of a multipack. Probably won’t come again. Décor is nice, but you feel rushed by the employees.

The employees are all very friendly and helpful, and the patio outside has really comfortable furniture and a wonderful nature view. The muffins are delicious(my favorite is the morning glory) and don’t hurt my pocketbook as much as some other coffee shops. Even though its a part of a gas station it feels like a bonafide coffee shop. I loved it and I’m glad I gave it a try!

This place has long lines and not very friendly service. They get one star because my daughter loves the blueberry muffins. However, they’re always out of them!!! If you are always running out that’s a clue to make more! The breakfast tacos are edible. They are small and by 10am not so fresh. Now that taco deli opened down the street I think I’ll be going there!!!

Great service, Relaxing patio Stopped by this morning to get some work done-service was quick and friendly and my café latte was made well. My partner’s cappuccino tended to the bitter side, but that was more of a personal preference thing to me. The patio is relaxing with tons of birds flying about and the chill and eclectic music selection makes for an enjoyable way to get work done while sipping on some caffeine. Yes, it’s inside a gas station, but Austin is desperate need of coffee houses like this one with equal parts good coffee and service.

Pros: location, drive though, staff is friendly, nice patio. Cons: coffee is not strong at all or flavorful I wish I liked one beverage from AJ’s but unfortunately not one and I’ve tried this place at least 5 times.

I used my Unilocal app to find a coffee shop close by while I was killing time. I found a gem! The shop itself is cute… LOVE the wood floors… and the outdoor seating is just the best! The server was so nice. She helped direct me to my best choices. I’ve been to the other Austin Java locations many times and just couldn’t decide what I wanted since it had been so long. I know I’ll be going back and bringing my husband as well. So happy to have found it, thank you Unilocal

Plus side — the staff are always friendly. But this place is always out of whatever I want. Sometimes they are out of eggs for breakfast tacos. The last 4 times I have gone there for a Morning Glory muffin(usually before 9am) they have been out. It’s to the point where I don’t know why I bother going in anymore. I’m not much of a coffee person, but I got the mocha with almond milk once and it was undrinkable. The soy is ok but it’s SO rich I can never finish more than half of a small. It’s attached to a gas station but they do have a nice little deck with a view.

I wish I had read the reviews before I let the excitement of a 360 Austin Java overtake me. We just walked in after seeing the nice big back patio, ready for some delicious food and coffee beverages. Both were required, as it was our brunch outing. We walked in, saw it was coffee and zero food. Not even breakfast tacos, cold or otherwise. Memo to owner: if you aren’t going to open it as a regular Austin Java, call it something else.

Pros: Convenient location, Friendly/Apologetic staff Cons: They often leave their headset off, making you wait around indefinitely at the drive through, not responding or anything. Their breakfast tacos have come out cold, and small. On one visit, they said they didn’t have enough pre-made eggs to fill a breakfast taco and that it would take 10 minutes to scramble some more. Bottom line: If you’re expecting this Austin Java to be anything like other Austin Javas, be prepared to be very disappointed. If you have the time, go somewhere else.

PROS: friendly service, good breakfast tacos, convenient drivethrough. CONS: mediocre coffee that’s overpriced($ 2.05 for a small coffee) and inconsistent coffee drinks. I wish I’d stop going here but the location is so darn convenient!

This Austin Java is inside the Tuscany 360 gas station. Conveniently they have a drive through and a selection of grab and go food. They sell breakfast tacos until 11am. They also serve sandwiches, wraps, pastries and bagels. I’m a fan of their mild Fog Cutter coffee. If you have time grab a cup and sit outside on their patio with a canyon land view.
