Austin Pediatric Surgery

Our 4 month old baby boy got his circumcision here. He had to have a special one because he was a little too chubby for the normal procedure, which is usually done at birth when the babies are still skinny. Dr. Mark Smith did a perfect job. He’s a real nice guy and definitely knows a lot about what he does. Everyone at APS is very nice and I love the waiting room because of their amazing salt water fish tank. I’ve never seen a better fish tank except at an aquarium.

My 23 month old daughter (yes, parents who give out months instead of years annoy me, too… but it just sounds more… I don’t know… exciting to say 23 month old instead of 2 year old… for this story anyway) had surgery there yesterday. Our surgeon, Mark Smith, is a real good dude.
The staff made my little girl feel pretty comfortable considering the circumstances. They take the time to talk to the kids and make them feel safe before they try to do any exam or anything. That goes a long way.
They also answer all my questions. I know, pretty scary, huh? But they really did.
The only bad part is that the waiting room is kinda small and they’re always busy, so not only are your wait times a little long, your crowded on top of it all. BUT… this place is good. Real good.
