I made an appointment to see a specialist(Dr. Chhikara) and my insurance got billed for a doctors appointment but I NEVER saw the doctor himself. Like other reviewers said I only saw the nurses and PA. I am not doubting their intelligence, knowledge and schooling but I would like it if the specialist himself came even if its once for a couple minutes. It seems like the PA’s see all the patients. The PA that saw me did explain everything well and answered my questions. The staff at the front desk, the nurse and PA were all professional and friendly. There are only 2 urologists including Dr. Chhikara in the area that accept my insurance. I have been recommended to be seen annually so Ill probably be going here. If I ever see the specialist himself I will update my review.

The first time I visited this doctor for kidney cysts and some pain issues was in 2009. Let me say that I never saw him only 2PA’s. Now I know PA’s go to school and all but I was, by my own admittance, a little put out, but I got over it. The second appointment was the same. By this time I was furious because I never saw the doctor. Now I don’t know about anyone else but when it’s a major organ and I’m paying to see a specialist, well I should see THEDOCTOR, not the PA’s. Well all turned out to be ok until this February. The cysts have changed and was told to see, you guessed it, a specialist. So I decided to go see this guy again(my best friends Dad had a great experience). First, I made my appointment and was informed that I had a balance from 2009. No problem. Here’s where it gets interesting; I had to cancel that appointment and make another one. I did this through ZocDoc, per their request but then got a call saying that I could not cancel and reschedule through ZocDoc, even though the website allowed me to. Their reason“that site is for new patients only”. But I’m not a new patient, they said so themselves. Then the«scheduler» says you still owe money. I politely told her I was aware and they would get my money when I came to the appointment. Then she said well we can’t see you on that date at that time. She offered other dates that would not work for me. All were early morning and I live south so I don’t want to have to hassle with traffic. Moral of my rant is that this doctors office staff is not willing to work with patients on much of anything, unless you draw the lucky number you may actually see the doctor, make sure you are important enough… oh hell just don’t waste your time.

I went to this office because I suspected I had a kidney stone. They did an ultrasound and a CT scan. The man who did the CT scan came and told the results to the other people in the office and he was right outside my door. I could hear everything he said. He made a comment that was inappropriate. Not to mention that if any other patients were there, they probably heard the comment too. I thought results were supposed to be confidential between the patient and doctor. I saw the PA but not the doctor. I was there for 15 minutes and they billed $ 1259.46 to my insurance company. Then I get a bill for $ 164.47 on top of my co-pay. I looked at the bill and there is a Consult fee of $ 248.00 which is ridiculous considering I never even saw the actual doctor I would not recommend this office!
