Very unprofessional, When I called to order the pizza, my new address was updated in the computer system and told that delivery was no issue. I paid with my credit card over the phone and it was charged. Nearly 55 minutes later I get a panicked phone call from the manager at the Westlake location saying the order had been routed to the wrong store by their operator, and should have been sent to the S Lamar location. She then re-took my order. She told me she doesnt think that my new address is in their delivery zone, but she would break the rules this one time due to their mistake. She told me that there would be no charge for the pizza and to please«scrounge up some tip for the drivers.» I get off the phone and promptly start rummaging for cash since I almost never carry any on me. 10 minutes later I get another phonecall, same woman. She says she had misspoken again and that no one at S Lamar has the time to deliver to me. Nice. She told me that if I could just pick up the pizza, it would«definitely» be free. Well, I have a 103 °F fever right now and can barely move, which is why I ordered delivery in the first place. I have been using Austin Pizza for 4 years faithfully. Today is the last day I will ever interact with their business. Good luck Austin Pizza. My advice is get some personnel training. This would have been a non-issue if the final answer – «no pizza» was told to me nearly 90 minutes ago.

If the pizza is so great then why only 3 stars? Could be that Austinites, like me, like the cheaper side of good food, that is what helps out a good eatery. The pizza is great, but for me, all the other factors need to be taken in account. Good Ingredients, fast service, adequate dining. If you like to pay $ 10 for a personal 10″ pizza, then this place is for you. I, like everyone else, like good AND cheap. For me, its right around the corner from my job. About 2 or 3 blocks down on Far West. Food is very tasty. Service is a bit slow. Dining and seating are a challenge unless you like sitting outside or in your car. Piss poor parking. Not their fault. Overall, middle of the road. If you don’t have anywhere else to go, you can certainly do WAY worse than Austin Pizza. My gauge for pizza? Homeslice and Niki’s Pizza up North. I like New York style. Just my preference. And I really dislike sweet red sauce.

They have improved their pizza crust and brought it back to its original quality. The sauce still lacks something, probably virgin olive oil. The play area has been significantly improved and is no longer a dustbowl.

The pizza was cold and soggy when it finally got to my workplace. I don’t suggest getting take out from this place.

Their pizza is good, nothing fantastic. I like their employees, very chill Austin vibe. But what I give them 4 stars for is the closed in playscape and outdoor tables and BYOB policy. A cool place for a play date dinner, soccer team group outing, etc. There is a big open field on one side kids can play tag or kick or throw a ball and then a big playscape on the other side. When the weather is good, you will find this place packed with Westlake families. Their pepperoni rolls are pretty legit as well. It’s not cheap as far as pizza goes, but it is local and the ingredients seem like good quality ones. Check it out if you want to sit outside and byob while watching your kiddos play.

Marginal. Almost 2 stars. Was delivery. Overcooked and heading towards dried out. I thought it needed more sauce.

Pizza is good but it’s expensive. I ordered a $ 23 pizza and by the time it was delivered it was cold :(But that’s what microwaves are for right?!

Above average pizza with that Austin feel that makes this place feel unique. I love the play ground for the kids. What a great idea, especially when the food can take awhile to make. It’s worth it though!

After reading the reviews I was looking forward to an exceptional pizza. It was OK, not exceptional. I ordered a large regular-crust green pepper, mushroom and sausage. First of all they definitely skimped on the quantity of ingredients and the peppers & mushrooms were dry and a little overdone. Could have used a little more cheese and tomato sauce too. I think there are better pizza options in the Westlake area.

We went here because we were babysitting a 5 year old who can eat pizza until she explodes, and with the playground outside we thought this place would be perfect. My girlfriend and I were absolutely unimpressed with this place. The pizza is as run of the mill boring as it gets. You can go to HEB with $ 5 and get the same quality as you get here. I guess people get a kick out of it because you can go next door to Twin Liquors and drink while you eat, but for my money I’ll just stay home on the couch and drink beer. To be fair, the 5 year old that we took seemed to really like this place. I’m sure if she were here she’d want me to give this place 4 or 5 stars. The playground seemed small, but she enjoyed it. I guess you can’t really put a price on 15 minutes of peace.

This was definitely pizza. It was edible dish composed of cheese, sauce, and bread. It did not make me sick and as far as I can tell did not have any adverse effects on my health. A+

We used to be loyal patrons, but the pizza keeps getting cheaper and grosser, to the point that it is now inedible. We came back hoping that the pizza was edible again, but it wasn’t. I ordered a salad, which was Ok(edible! I win!), but took a long time to come out. We have young boys, so a local BYOB restaurant with a playground and soccer area would be an amazing thing. I am very sad that the food is so unpalatable that it is not worth coming. The pizza used to be good! Please just go back to making it like you did 4 or 5 years ago and we will be loyal and delighted customers forever!

It’s not the world’s best pizza by any means, but it’s consistent, friendly and fast. I approve!

This pizza snob should just give up on finding truly good pizza anywhere in Austin. I eat here because it’s convenient at times. Do I like it? No. Does it satisfy my pizza cravings? No. It’s just crust, sauce and cheese to me… not pizza. Why 3 stars? It’s edible. I would give just about every pizza place in Austin one star for the pizza, but that’s not fair to the business. It’s really not their fault they don’t know what really good pizza is. Or maybe it is.

They wouldn’t deliver me pizza because i was ‘outside of their delivery area’. I find that hard to believe because we live less than 5 minutes away from their store in south austin. My guess is they didn’t want to take the effort to find an address that wasn’t in their system. Lots of other pizza to choose from.

I moved to Austin about 10 years ago & have been wanting to try Austin’s Pizza for a while. I figured if they have so many locations it can’t be bad. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in the pizza. We just had pepperoni — nothing fancy — but it was very average & bland. It was like the pepperoni had absolutely no spice to it. However, even worse than that was there was almost no sauce. I’m a sauce person. If you like sauce this is not your place. I think they put it on with an eye dropper. The pepperoni pizza rolls were not great, but we did like them a little better than the pizza. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because we could tell the crust & ingredients tasted very fresh. I see lots of good reviews, but all of my friends agreed that this just wasn’t our taste. Glad I finally tried it after all these years & got the wondering out of the way. There are many MUCH better pizza places in this town so I won’t be back.

These folks have an awesome gluten-free build-your-own personal size(10″) pizza! I’ve ordered it twice and both times, yummy! With delivery and tip it got a teeny bit pricy so next time I will just go and pick it up… nonetheless, it was scrumptious!

We order Austin’s Pizza into work quite a bit. Today we ordered in and I must say I was more impressed then ever before. We ordered the Farmer’s Market on gluten free crust. It was pretty darn delicious. Good job Austin’s Pizza!

Nice patio, friendly staff. Pizza is ok and reasonably priced. Some toppings are sparse but with others they go bonkers(i had close to 20 anchovy fillets on a 10″ pizza!) Decent pizza lunch for under $ 8. I did see a cockroach scurry in the front door and make a beeline for the kitchen, but that’s what bugs do, so let’s assume he met a timely end before reaching the food prep area.

Austin’s pizza is always freaking amazing. They never get my special request for no cheese wrong(a frequent issue I have with other companies) and the it always arrives promptly, freshly made, steaming warm, with really nice delivery people. Not to mention, it tastes great. The mopac is my absolute favorite. Recommend them over a generic place like Pizza Hut any time. Thanks for making my tummy so happy!

We frequent Austin’s Pizza and were excited to hear they now have thin crust pizza. What they don’t tell you is that NONE of their specialty pizza can be thin crust, only the 2 topping pizzas. I could not get the Margherita because it has 3 toppings: tomato, basil & garlic. Guess the basil is too heavy for thin crust? So disappointing.

I come and go with liking Austin’s Pizza. They hit a low point a few years ago, but have been coming back strong. We’ve been a few times recently and enjoyed the pizza enough that I couldn’t quit stuffing my face. This location is fun because it has a huge deck and playground for the kids. It’s at the very back of the parking lot, so there’s not a lot of traffic and it’s pleasant. Did you know you can bring your own alcohol? And there’s a Twin Liquor in the parking lot too? Yes. They don’t have coke though. The negative to this location is the parking lot though. They share it with a driving school and a pilates studio for the most part. It can get pretty crazy when everyone is coming and going. I eat either here or at Riverhills Pizza.

Austins Pizza now has Gluten Free Pizza. It only comes in medium size but it’s very good. You can order most of the toppings but make sure that you are clear when you place your order if you need everything to be gluten free. Some of the toppings may not be. Pricier than normal pizza but very good and it hits the spot when you are craving real pizza!

This rating is all about the accuracy of ordering on line. We’ve done this a number of times. If you build your own pizzas, everything works great. If you choose a specialty pizza but ask for something to be left off(e.g., red onions), don’t even bother with the special request. It won’t happen. So, stick with the simple approach or expect exactly what’s on the menu. Don’t deviate and you’ll be fine.

Formerly Flying Tomato, Austins Pizza has moved great pizza offerings into a great location complete with an outdoor patio with adjacent fenced playground. The interior is small but the wood patio has plenty of room as does the grass yard. BYOB is a plus since there is a Twin Liquors in the same parking lot. They offer whole wheat crust and a number of good themed pizzas like the Stubbs BBQ. I prefer a goat cheese, pesto and portobella mushroom on whole wheat. Semi pricey but coupons are always available.
