I can’t say enough good stuff about Lance and the BizAid team that work with the City of Austin Small Business Development. They offer a free service that is so incredibly valuable, and I don’t know why more people don’t use it. Lance has been an encouragement, a source of knowledge, and a Rolodex of resources that have all been invaluable to starting my business. If you are starting a business or have a business, you have to go talk to them. They are so awesome.

Carlos, Alesha, Sam and crew here have been very helpful to me as a small business owner.
Carlos has helped me in two key areas– he brainstormed some great marketing ideas for how to get word out about getting tenants in my commercial kitchen, and he connected me with the people who eventually underwrote my loan. Carlos’ part in making that connection happen has saved my business a ton of money.
Alesha and Sam also came by my kitchen to take pictures, etc. and I might even be featured on a radio segment as a result.
This is a great (free!) resource for businesses here in Austin, and I’m really glad I found it. If you’re a small business owner, you should drop by and introduce yourself, they are plugged in to a great network of resources and are very helpful!
