When my disability got denied I thought that was it. I hate dealing with stuff like that but I needed the money and felt like they just dumped me because they could. I didn’t want to hire an attorney thinking that would cost me a lot but the next steps looked like they were way over my head. I wrote to these guys and asked their opinion. They said they would talk to me for free so I went in and am really glad I did. I felt comfortable from the start with Lonnie Roach and he laid the whole process out for me. He told me what would work and what would not and he was right. If I ever have to go back I know he has all my information and I’ll bet they won’t deny me again because they know I’ll show up with Lonnie! I’m still in pain but at least I don’t have to worry about money every day.

HUUGE mistake going with this team, but what can I say, I’m in terrific pain and sleeping most of the time due to injuries. I needed a simple appeal for my social security disability case, and after I first sent in my documents, their paralegal emailed and said that they didn’t take those kinds of cases any more. Then I called and spoke to someone else there, who said that yes they actually did take those cases, they were one of the main types of cases they worked on. I then spoke to the paralegal again and he was confused — basically lying to me because he didn’t understand words in order on a page. I submitted all of my paperwork and heard nothing else from them. Today I received a denial from the SSA and since I have a broken neck, back, and pelvis, I have to thank Bemis Roach and Reed for my continued agony and utter lack of any way to support myself. Go team! I truly hope you find yourselves in my shoes someday soon.

Legal issues are very difficult and emotional at best. Choosing the best lawyer for my case was a real concern for me. After nearly three years, my disability case has wrapped up with a judgement in my favor. Greg Reed was excellent, as was Craig, his paralegal. Between the two of them, they were always on top of my case, were there to answer any questions, and were extremely informative throughout the whole procedure. Not once did I feel like they put me on the back burner. Every phone call was returned promptly, and every email was replied to within 24 business hours. As opposed to the enormous disability law firms you see in ads, going with Bemis, Roach & Reed allowed me to deal only with the lawyer’s paralegal, and the lawyer who would be physically present throughout the process. So, when the time came to sit in front of a judge, I was joined by someone I actually knew, had shaken hands with, and had joked with and conversed with in person, more than once. On top of all that, Mr Reed is a likable guy, someone that you’ll be glad has your back in the fight that is applying for disability.
Mr. Reed was an absolute rock of stability in the courtroom when it came time for my hearing, which greatly allayed my own nervousness. I initially chose this law firm to handle my disability case because their office is only a few miles away from my home, but that was merely an incredibly happy coincidence as I couldn’t have possibly made a better choice.
