This little park is a hidden gym! It’s located in Travis Heights and is also connected to the Little Stacey Park and pool. I accidentally found this place cutting through neighborhoods to get home one day. They have a great running trail and even a little bridge that goes over the creek. This place is so peaceful you almost forget you are in the middle of a neighborhood. I brought my dog here and he was able to play with a few other dogs running around. I’d like to come back here to run in the trails one day. I will be back you wonderful little park you.

I too love the Blunn Creek Greenbelt. It is located in the Travis Heights neighborhood and connects the little stacy pool to the big stacy pool a little further south. For a even more secluded experience try the Blunn Creek nature preserve. It is located a little farther south from the Blunn Creek Greenbelt. I enter it with my bike at the intersection of Little John and Long Bow Lanes just south of Oltorf. It’s a great place to escape and get back to nature and there is even water running through the creek these days!

Blunn Creek Greenbelt is a beautiful urban hiking trail that links Little Stacey Park to Big Stacey Park in the Travis Heights neighborhood and I can not believe no one has yet to review this hidden gem. The trail is so wooded you would never guess you are in the middle of a neighborhood. You will only know that you are on a man made trail by the distinct granite mixed trail and the interpretive metal guide markers along the way. For those that do not know their trees it is fun to see the difference between an Elm and a Cedar Elm. There are also some beautiful man made sights like the Frank Loyd Wright looking bridge and the tunnel that goes under another bridge(I captured an amazing picture here check it out). The easiest parking is at the trailhead at Little Stacey Park — the trail is easily visible on the left on the opposite bank of East Side Bridge. Check it out for an easy short hike/walk in nature.
