Breathe It In

This place is absolutely Amazing!!! I have really bad allergies and this gives me great relief. The owner is very knowledgeable and very friendly. She goes out of her way to make people happy. The salt scrubs and essential oils are awesome.

It continues to be a place that with Texas allergies we cannot live without! My doctor has even shown interest in going as he is open minded re homeopathic cures. If you cant breathe and can get here, I suggest you try it!

These session really helped my stuffed up sinus. Plus I had some dry patches on my face, from recent stresses and those cleared up also! Hurray. Very relaxing. Easy to get an appointment and the owners are friendly and informative. I had 5 sessions. Next I am going to get a membership and bring some girlfriends! Give it a try, it is a wonderful relaxing treatment. Plus the offer massages.

Went in with my mom after getting a Groupon for this place. The atmosphere was welcoming, the woman working was kind, welcoming, and excited to have us, and the inside of the place looked relaxing. Our Groupon was for a 45 minute session, though we were inside the salt room for a bit longer than that.
There were lockers for us to put our purses and shoes in. I opted to wear my socks and my mother was given a pair of footies to wear into the salt room. Electronics are not allowed in the salt room, and it was nice to get away for a little bit.
Until the session started, the salt room seemed to smell a lot like cigarettes. When the session started, there was a loud noise which made it a little hard for me to feel completely relaxed. The guy a few chairs next to me had no problem falling asleep. Once I realized the loud noise (a mix of a blow dryer and a lawn mower) wasn’t going to stop, I kind of got over it.
I had a really bad cold before going in. Now, seven hours after the session, I can really breathe again and a lot of my symptoms have lessened. I do think that breathing in the salt can be a positive experience and can be good for overall health. I feel better, my allergies are not affecting me as much, and my cold symptoms have definitely improved.
Overall good hospitality and welcoming environment. Definitely feel positive after-​effects from the salt room. Loud noise and off-​putting smell from the salt room both put a bit of a damper on the experience.

I went here for a 45 min session that I bought off Groupon because my nose is usually blocked from allergies. Seemed like a great way to breathe a little better! It was really easy to set up an appt (may times were available), check in and only need to complete one form.
You have to take off your shoes before going in the salt room so remember to bring a pair of socks! They have disposable shoe covers that you can wear over your shoes or bare feet, but I imagine it would be a lot more comfortable if you brought your own socks.
The room itself has enough lounge chairs for 7 – 8 people. The floors and walls are covered in salt, and the room is a bit chilly when first walking in. Don’t worry, though, because there are blankets that are available. Just lounge back, relax, and the session usually starts within 10 min. Once it starts, you can somewhat taste the salt on your mouth. They warned that we may start coughing or sneezing due to slight irritation from the salt, but neither happened to me. I fell asleep pretty quickly and woke up as the session ended.
In the end, my nose felt more open and I felt like I could actually breathe a little easier. I can’t say it lasted for more than a couple days but it was still a very relaxing experience! (apart from the few nightmares I had during my nap but that’s not their fault ;)

I can’t believe how awesome I feel after 5 visits! I have not felt this good for months, tried steroids and antibiotics (for allergies & sinus infections) and still was not well, then I had the great fortune of trying this. I always feel better when I visit the ocean so this had promise, results are amazing!!! Now I have a local place to help me out and I am so grateful!

My 8 yo daughter has been suffering from skin rashes for the last 2+ years. All of a sudden one day she started to itch and hasn’t stopped. Around the same time she became allergic to the dogs that shared out home for the last 6 years, so we had to give them up. We have tried the elimination diet to see if we could control her flare-​ups, went gluten-​free and dairy-​free for two months, and now trying to reduce sugar, used topical steroids (yuck) to calm the itchiness but this only seemed to create a vicious cycle of break-​outs, and every cream on the market, and even UVB therapy to give her some relief. Wet wrapping seemed to help more than the UVB therapy did. She still takes hydroxyzine daily to control her itching.
It is being treated as eczema although a few docs had differing opinions as to what it could be… Salt therapy and herbal salves from Emily’s Skin Soothers and Nojmuk have been her salvation. Even though she still has flare-​ups (we are thinking it may be related to stress or some other environmental factor… we are going to try soap nuts next for laundry and soap/​shampoo) they are kept mostly in check with her visits to the Salt Room. She goes pretty much every other day for a 45-​minute session. I’ve even joined her in the room a couple of times (it’s so relaxing that I’ve fallen asleep both times!).
The owners, John and Sabrina are super nice people who have brought this great service to the Austin area. We are fortunate to live close by, but we’d travel great distances if we had to, to get our daughter some much-​needed relief.
They also have a nice selection of Himalayan Crystal Salt Lamps, the world’s only natural ionizer and air purifier. Overall, the owners have created a wonderful environment focused on improving one’s health and wellness. We just started taking our kids to salt therapy for chronic ear infections. We are up against a fourth set of ear tubes and are willing to try anything to avoid more surgeries. We’ve been four times and they definitely seem less congested after treatments. I have not had the fluid in their ears reevaluated since we started but my infant has been sleeping better and their coughs have lessened. The customer service has been wonderful, the owner is so sweet and has been very accommodating to stay open later to get us an appointment. We will continue our treatments, the kids are loving the childrens area!
