Bridgehead Apartments

Bridgehead is a wonderful, quiet and very safe place to live. I have lived here for just over a year and have been very pleased. Not the newest place on the block, but well kept, friendly and a HIGHLY responsive staff has made up for any amenities newer places offer. I am sad to move, but my work location had changed and with Austin traffic, I must say good-​bye. I would definitely recommend to others!

Me and my wife spent 6 months in one of the Bridgehead Apartments. The only pro you’ll get is the location. It’s close to the 360 bridge and some of the apartments have very nice view.
However, the buildings are very old (Flintstone old), not well maintained at all and the walls are very thin, so if your neighbor is a night owl, forget about sleeping before 2am.
The worst part is the amount they charge you at the end of the lease. When we moved into the apartment, the kitchen board was already damaged, for which they charged us.
There were a couple of pet damages on the carpet and those could’ve easily been repaired; they charged us for the whole carpet. At the end of the day, we were charged more than 600 dollars for the deposit.
If you’re looking for an apartment around 360 area, do yourself a favor and pay just a little bit more and get a place from another apartment complex in the area. Or get yourself an attorney before you end your lease with Bridgehead.

The location is great — secluded, great views, and very pet friendly. The lands are reasonably maintained and there is usually good parking. However, given my (admittedly, uncommon) situation, I would NOT recommend the place. I moved out two months prior to my lease being up, but still paid rent from my new location (which was out of the country). My sister was in charge of checking on the place just before the lease was up to let in some cleaners (I had dogs and definitely needed someone to come in and spruce the place up a bit). When she did her last check in, she found that the locks had been changed. They had allowed new tenants to move in while the lease was still in our names. They STILL charged us for rent even after new occupants had moved in.
Talk. About. Shiest.
Like I said, I realize my situation is uncommon, but I wouldnt trust people who would do that. It is INCREDIBLY unprofessional and speaks volumes about how they conduct their business. Completely unacceptable.

Lived here for going on 5 months! The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because this is an old complex, out of date and not at all fancy. If you want to live in a quiet, clean and beautiful area look no further this is the place. I love taking my dogs for their walks, neighbors are quiet and friendly. The staff is great, always so helpful, they really keep this place together nicely. The areas around my apartment are mostly grass and tended to very well. Like I said not fancy but this place has heart, I loved living here and would recommend it to anyone that loves a beautiful view of the hills.

Staff is always friendly and extremely helpful, we had to decide on the internet which Austin apartment we wanted to live in and we are not disappointed at all. Covered parking without an additional cost is a wonderful plus for your car when you are in Texas. Will recommend this to anyone who is trying to find quality living (neighbors are quiet and respectful).

I recently moved in and love it here. It’s quiet, beautiful views, reasonable prices and a friendly, helpful staff. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is an older complex and the apartments show it. But they did a great job repainting our apartment, upgrading our appliances and repairing the wear and tear from the previous tenant (who lived here for 7 years). I would definitely recommend moving here if you would like to live in a peaceful environment with a friendly staff that legitimately care about you.

Bridgehead was the first place I lived when I moved from Chicago to Austin in ’01 — and I moved there sight unseen, which was pretty terrifying to be honest. All-​in-​all, I had a decent experience. Having friendly neighbors was a culture shock (ha) and I enjoyed taking advantage of the pool in the «winter» months while everyone back home was freezing their butts off :-)
The apartment itself was nice, clean, and well-​maintained. My unit had high ceilings and a nice view.
As far as amenities go, the building had all of the condominium standards — pool, hot tub, bbq area, basketball courts, exercise room, etc. The exercise room was definitely just the basics, but it did the trick. The location was nice as well — I liked being able to walk to the lake. I give it four stars because it’s not the most AMAZING place I’ve lived — but definitely one of the nicest.

I lived at Bridgehead for eight months and can recommend it highly if you are looking for location (360 & 2222), pets allowed, even the big ones, and responsive AND friendly staff (Michele, Yvonne, and Brian). These apartments are also classified as condos — and I can vouch for quietness. I hardly ever heard my neighbors. All the apts have LARGE covered porches and washer/​dryer connections. They also will rent you a set. There are several levels of upgrade. The hill walking is the best in austin and within minutes to the 360 bridge. There are trails for dog walking. The grounds are very nice with lots of big trees. The pool area is very quiet with two pools. There are also alot of long-​term tenants which is always a good sign.
I really can’t say enough about the management team. They made my move-​in wonderful and helped me with my move-​out. The move-​out went very well and they were very helpful and flexible. Matter of fact, I moved to another company-​owned location based on this management style, and it’s the same way at my new location.
There’s a mixture of agest at Bridgehead — mostly working folks and with may be 20% mature students (saw some youngish folks with big bags every now and then).
I encourage you to go take a look — and keep in mind that the management team is going to be very nice … because they ARE (I am serious).
