Dr. Koopmann is such a great dentist! He is professional, extremely personable and easy going which makes the«not so fun» dentist procedures tolerable. The staff is AMAZING too!!! They make me feel like I’m their number one customer each time that I go.

I have found the best dentist in Austin! I have had a lot of dental issues and Dr. Koopman has done a great job to address them all. He is professional, kind and very knowlegable. He does his homework to make sure that you have the best outcome possible. I really appreciate that he doesn’t try to sell you expensive treatments for the sake of up selling you and only recommends treatment that you actually need. He has helped me overcome my dental anxiety by his calm demeanor, explaining everything and being a very skilled dentist. His staff is outstanding and so lovely to work with.

Saw Dr. Koopman several years ago and he said I needed a crown on my molar. Got a second opinion, and no, I did not need a crown. 10 years later– I still do not need my tooth filed down and do not need a crown!

O.k. so it’s kind of funny that I’m reviewing this dentist and his team as I leave them, but if I can’t stay with them(insurance issues) I’ve got to make sure they get other people’s business because I was so happy with them! One of my biggest concerns with having my teeth cleaned is that they’re very tight and it’s easy to gouge my gums in the process of cleaning, but that’s never happened here. I’ve been with them for a few years, and I’ve never had anything but a warm welcome from the receptionist(who returns calls promptly) and a thorough cleaning with someone who really listens to what I have to say. Dr. Koopman himself is GREAT. The first time I had a cavity I was nervous like a little kid would be, but he told me he wasn’t going to hurt me. I thought, «Yeah, right.» He replied, «No, really. I’m not going to hurt you.» And again I thought, «Ugh…just get on with it… I just want to get this over with!» Well, unbelievably, it didn’t hurt even when he put the novocaine in. I think maybe it was because he used some numbing gel on my gum first, then began injecting the novcaine in front of the needle? Is that even possible? But it didn’t hurt! I know that sounds like a bunch of crap, but I’m totally honest. Even better, when I was having some issues with that filling a few weeks later, he looked at it(and even x-rayed) for free. I mean, really, this office is wonderful. I wish I was staying instead of writing this for all of y’all! :)
