I finally made it over to this sweet shop. The feel of the shop is very peaceful, very pleasant shopping experience. The items of Busy Being work great with the clothing of Solid Gold. This is a great gift shop, with special items. I will be back.

Busy-​Being is the most delightful little shop — right up there with SoCo favorites like Uncommon Objects and Tesoro for me. We happened to come across this charming shop while exploring East Austin and absolutely loved the quirky collection of art, jewelry and textiles — among so many other things! Definitely worth checking out.

This is such a cool place… wow! Busy-​Being is a small (pop-​up?) shop in the room at the back of Domy Books on E. Cesar Chavez. The owner showed me some of the hand-​made chocolates, one-​of-​a-​kind jewelry, shirts by kozyndan, and other items. I think she’s got a webshop up and running, too, for people to peruse. This place channels Austin ‘weird’ even in these fearful times of homogenization — nothin’ big box about this place. Check it out.
