Chris Protein Personal Trainer

I worked out with Chris over the period of about 60 days. As a result, I put on about 10 pounds of muscle, dropped my body fat, and increased my overall strength. He custom tailored a workout program for me, got me on a customized nutrition plan, and helped me perfect my form. He was great to work with, always very responsive outside of our scheduled sessions, and easy to work with.
I’d highly recommend Chris to anyone who is looking to for a personal trainer. I’m looking forward to going back to him in the future to fine tune my program.

I have been on the search for a personal trainer for a long time, and with Chris I definitely found one that will help me reach my fitness and nutrition goals. As a P90X, Insanity, and Body Beast Grad, I consider myself to be in good shape. I just didn’t see the results in my body as I would have liked. I was nowhere I wanted to be, I had definitely been stuck in a plateau for the past couple of months. I hit a point where I was continually going through the motions of working out, but getting absolutely nothing out of it.
Then on Thanksgiving, as I ate my second serving of whatever it was, I put down my plate and realized my lack of a nutrition plan was not going to get me anywhere. So I contacted Chris for my FREE evaluation session. After I came in, he broke down what I was going to need to do and change about my current workout situation. I saw he was determined and interested in helping me achieve my goals. At this point I realized that working out at home would no longer benefit me as I’ve done all I could by myself. What I needed is to go to the next step and get with a trainer who knew what they were doing, and could help me learn what I was doing in the process.
At an affordable rate, I was able to get training sessions, a customized meal plan, and a training plan laid out for me. In the short time I’ve been with Chris, I’ve already seen some significant changes in my body in the direction that I want it to go. Chris has been nothing but helpful, and accessible as I constantly have questions on form, my meals, and etc.
In addition to having Chris as my personal trainer he has improved my form incredibly. The at home programs I was used had not necessarily enforced good form 100%. The improvements I have made with my form have definitely helped my growth and progress as I continue to step into the gym.

It was the beginning of the year, and I had a brand new resolution.
«I want to look more like this someday!» I thought to myself, passing through ‘fitness inspiration’ pictures online. To my dismay, I had discovered in the past that no matter how high I jacked up the resistance on my elliptical at the gym, it wasn’t exactly creating the sleek, all over lean muscle look I was after, so It was time for a change in routine. A pretty serious one, at that. I knew If I wanted to get the particular results I was admiring, I needed to start appreciating and utilizing an area of the gym I had minimal experience in… free weights and barbells. This intimidated me quite a bit.
On top of a want for specific aesthetics, as I climbed the belt ladder in my martial arts school, the testing was becoming more and more stressful. My strength was definitely lacking and I needed to do some outside work to keep up with the demanding training. More reasons to get help so I could start learning! I jumped on craigslist, searched around under «personal trainer» and took the first step… making an appointment with someone who looked like they knew what they were doing (plus he had some awesome before and afters of clients.)

After my first meeting with Chris, I already considered myself very, very lucky. The knowledge he has obtained is simply outstanding. Every time I asked a question, his answer was so thorough and detailed that I learned more in that first appointment than 3 months in Body Pump (which did little for me other than creating some elbow strain.) I let him know that my biggest goals included learning to lift heavy without injuring myself, gain as much information over nutrition as possible to maximize my workouts and lower my body fat percentage so my results in muscle building would be more visible, and to become more efficient in my martial arts classes, especially when belt testing time comes around. He assured me we could do it, and built me a whole program including a nutrition plan, which ended up being VITAL in terms of maximizing my training with proper macros (a totally new concept to me) and breaking through the dreaded diet plateaus. If macros and plateaus confuse you like they did me, this is the personal trainer to talk to. The information on how to break through my weight loss plateau was worth its weight in gold. He also told me exactly what to do in order to up my calories after I finish my weight loss so I can up my strength gains even more while staying lean and not going backwards. Refreshing, considering I used to think people end up having to gain fat when they go for more muscle mass!
At this point, I have been training with him for 5 months and it’s clear he’s made a long term client out of me. Outside of the nutrition, he built me a personal training program that included all of the classics such as squats, dead-​lifting, pull-​ups, rows, bench pressing, etc. I’ve learned so much about form and technique in lifting from him, I sometimes find myself critiquing peoples technique when I’m at the gym (and people regularly compliment mine… Thanks for that, Chris!) I guess that’s what happened when you get your information from a professional. The accessory work he has taught me has more than helped with my martial arts training. My overall performance in class has improved so much I actually look FORWARD to my testing, and seeing how far I’ve come. Even more outstanding is the fact that at no point have I experienced any pain. I’ve made a lot of gains with absolutely zero irritation to my joints and look forward to every training session. Toughing it out in the gym alongside this trainer is actually fun, even when the workout is killer.
I guess I would call him a secret weapon, except that whenever people ask me how I’m changing so quickly, I’m always excited to let them know who I learned from.

I highly recommend Chris as a personal trainer! He is one of the best I have worked with. At my first session he made some improvements to my squat technique that completely eliminated some pain I was feeling. He also worked with me to make a vegetarian nutrition plan. I needed a way to get protein without meat, so Chris suggested Greek yogurt, which I tried and really liked.
My workouts are great now, I finally feel like I’m actually accomplishing something, and I have lost 20 lbs in a healthy way I’m over 60, but feeling stronger and fitter everyday! If you are looking for personal trainers, go with Chris!

I thought I would take a minute to write a professional review, AS A PEER, of Mr. Chris Leach and his methodology of fitness training.

Chris is an excellent personal trainer. He puts me through great workouts and tracks my progress on everything.
We do regular body composition analysis so I can be sure I am on track to hit my goals… That’s a huge help that not many trainers do often enough.

I used to live a very unhealthy lifestyle, in both my eating habits and exercise habits. I wanted to lose the weight (about 40 pounds) but I just didn’t know how.
