Ok, I know that Churches is a fast food chain. Let me just say that not every franchise is created equal. This one has been good to me for as long as I’ve lived in the area. They’re the only Churches franchise that have that nice 3pc and a biscuit deal.
When it comes to the chicken, in the grand scheme of fried chicken, it’s not as greasy as some other places, the skin is done really well, the seasoning is on par with a lot of my other fried chicken places — like Top Notch, or Golden Chick.
The honey butter biscuits do not skimp on the honey.
I’ve been to other Churches establishments around town and they just don’t taste as good.
I’ll admit, a partial preference towards Churches is due to it having originated in San Antonio. I’m just showing my hometown some love.
