Clean Critters

Bentley loves going to see his friends at Clean Critters! Can’t say enough good things about this place!

I brought my American bull dog here to have his nails trimmed. It can be a task since he is about 95lbs and 10 years old. After reading all the terrifying reviews before taking him to pets mart or pets co I decided to take him here.
Pros:
— Accommodating: called and they made me an appointment that same day with in an hour an a half.
— Professional: they were not scared or intimidated by my dog one bit
— Fast! the nail trimming literally took 5 minutes. I was so surprised. It’s taken me half an hour on my own and I am so scared of hurting him. One person did it in under five minutes.
— Luckily they were able to squeeze me in to give him a bath and a deshedding. I love the results. He was shedding a ton.
Cons:
— limited parking but wasn’t really a problem since there was only One or two other cars
— access and egress could be an issue during high traffic times
— easy to miss, I’ve live in east Austin for my whole life and this place is a bit subtle. I almost missed it
In the end I give this place five stars and although I love pretty far north I will be bringing my dog back here no matter what!

I’m so glad I took my dog Lucy to Clean Critters!
I recently moved into the neighborhood and drove by the shop a number of times, so I decided to check it out, since the location was convenient. Lucy was shedding like crazy, so I scheduled a deshedding session. Kevin and Aimee were both super friendly and helpful throughout the booking, drop off, and pick up. They called me exactly when they said they would to give me an update on when she would be finished. They finished exactly when promised, and Lucy looked great with her hair thinned out and a cute purple bandana around her neck!
Great prices and great service. I already scheduled Lucy’s next appointment!

Awesome little shop on the East Side– super sweet, affordable and in the neighborhood– it was also super quiet when I was there which was awesome. I felt very comfortable leaving my pals with these guys. Excited to know they are in town.

LOVE this place. Dogs always come back looking and smelling great. The owners are super nice. This was our first time using a groomer and it is worth it!

AMAZING! Our two morkie pups have a lot of anxiety and can be aggressive with new people so we’ve always been super hesitant to take them to be groomed. Kevin and Aimee have such good vibes that our normally yappy, squirmy pups were totally calm. When we picked them up they were happy and clean and wearing the cutest little bandanas! 5 STARS! SO happy to have found this spot!

They have taken care of our mini schnauzer a few times now and every time had been better than the last! Great husband and wife duo that run the place and thy really put the customer at the forefront. Love having yall in the neighborhood!

Love bringing my pup here. We live on the east side so it’s very conveniently located. They do an awesome job with his hair cuts, always exactly what I want, very reasonably priced as well. My little pup is afraid of everything and he has began to be much calmer whenever he goes which makes me feel great that it’s a positive experience for both of us. The owners are very friendly and personable, I know Ollie is in good hands every time I drop him off! Highly recommend.

I have a miniature schnauzer, so the groomer can be a little complicated (specific hair cut, ear plucking, etc)! He also can be a little bit sassy and typically HATES BEING GROOMED. I have taken him 4 or 5 times to Pet Smart to be groomed, and every time he came back he was depressed for weeks! But not at Clean Critters. They were so kind and gentle with him, and his hair looked amazing! They really went the extra mile to make him look great and be comfortable. Definitely will go back for all my grooming needs. Also, the price was really great! (pretty much the same as Pet Smart for the full work up. Just a little bit pricier due to the fact that they are local, but worth the extra $ 10 that you would have saved at a national groomer).

My poodle-​mix rescue-​dog, Claude, loves these guys almost as much as I do.
It is rare to experience the kind of genuine warmth that Kevin and Aimee exude in today’s customer service industry. They are astoundingly knowledgable with regards to dog hair and its needs and give carefully detailed explanations, without prompting, about the grooming options and pricing. If I had any friends in Austin with dogs that also needed grooming, I would tell them to look no further.

I can’t rave enough about Clean Critters. Atticus has gotten so many compliments on his haircut today. He even literally stopped traffic… a lady pulled over her car as we were walking just to say «Nice haircut!»

Love Clean Critters! Kevin and his wife who run the business are so kind and welcoming. My dog who is an Australian Sheppard was abandoned in our neighborhood when we adopted him. We don’t know his history but he had quite a bit of matting behind the ears. I was nervous at his first appointment because he is super hyper in new places and would NOT take a bath at home. When I picked him up he was shiny and beautiful!!! They reassured me he did great and I was thankful he they took good care of him. Highly recommend!

They do a great job on all three of my dogs. I even get squeezed in the same day sometimes. They are a really nice couple and I like giving my business to mom & pop shops.

Love these guys! Would use them again and recommend to anyone!!!

I’ve completed a prior review, however, I wanted to follow– up… My pups (Beso & Coco) have had their 2^nd appointment.
The pups look even BETTER then I could have hoped for. While looking amazing is one aspects — my dogs «WANTED» to be there.
They both were being cautious as we opened the door, but as soon as they heard Kevin’s voice… the tails started to wag! Kevin immediately came around to greet both pups … When he did Beso saw Kevin come toward him. his entire body started wag, and Coco (the smaller dog) went up to Kevin and tried to climb his leg.
I know, I know… I a bad puppy parent, and the pups should have better manners. blah!
Bottom line, Clean Critters is AWE-​SOME … By both human and canine standards!

I am so happy my vet recommended Clean Critters! I have an old, cranky, neurotic little terrier, Winston. I love my dog like crazy, but have to admit that he’s gotten grumpy in his old age and can be difficult. Clean Critters took excellent care of him! Winston is very proud of his cool summer cut!
Seriously, he looks great. His coat is shiny, soft, and most importantly they cut him exactly as I asked.
He didn’t act scared when I picked him up (Again, he’s a little neurotic). The owners are super nice. I felt like they really enjoy what they do and love dogs. I believe Winston was in excellent hands.
I have found my new groomer. Thanks for the job well done!

Kevin did a great job with my 6 month old Goldendoodle Preston. This was his first time being groomed and I very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend clean critters!

Clean critters took excellent care of my pups. When we came to pick up the dogs, they were completely at ease and super happy! Lilly’s haircut looked great and both she and Ivan were soft and clean. It is good to know your dogs are in good hands! Thanks guys.

Just picked up my dog from her first visit to Clean Critters and it was a great experience. It is obvious from meeting Aimee and Kevin that they care dearly for each pet and treat them as their own. We dropped off our little dog in need of some loving and picked up a little princess. Couldn’t be more satisfied and would recommend to all.

I have two dogs one that’s afraid of groomers due to a bad experience in the past and one that’s never been to the groomer. I could not have been more pleased when I picked up my two dogs, these guys at Clean Critters are awesome! My dogs not only looked amazing but they were definitely happy you could tell it was a pleasant experience for them which is important to me, Clean Critter is great I would highly recommend them.

If you want your dog to be put into good hands, take them here. My Dog came out looking really clean and groomed very well. I definitely will be visiting this place again. & the customer service is an A+
