Dr. Cordoba is the most compassionate and kind psychiatrist I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been going to him for a long time. He cares about me and not just my medicines. He works with me and lets me have a voice in the decisions on my care. Sometimes, I have to wait for him for a while but I know it’s because he’s working with another patient. He gives us all the time and care we need. I would recommend him to anyone. He really gets it and knows how to help. He doesn’t pooh pooh my suggestions. He really listens and we have implemented some alternative therapies to help with my bipolar disorder and anxiety. I feel I can cope much better knowing he’s in my corner.

I was a patient of dr cordoba’s for many years and he was very helpful for much of that time. He’s a great doctor who cares about his patients however his admin process is abysmal. It became so problematic to schedule an appt that last year I made the decision to switch to another dr. The problems weren’t just with scheduling they were also with communication regarding canceled appts. 3 – 4 times I was told I owed for missed appointments even though I called several days in advance to cancel. After the first time this happened I began recording date and time of my calls so could fall back on that to prove I had canceled prior to 24 hours notice. What prompted this review, nearly 7 months after I last saw him? Long story short, after attempting for 2 weeks to schedule a follow up back in Augustand not having any luck I switched doctors as I mentioned earlier. At that time I left a message with his office stating that due to difficulties scheduling I was moving on. Well, that was in… August 2015. Guess who called today to check in with me about a follow up appointment? That’s right, his current secy/admin person. Unbelievable and really very sad.

Dr. Cordoba helped me immensely when I was at my worst. He truly cares. He always took time with me. He explains things well and does use a holistic approach; he doesn’t just write you a prescription and send you on your way. He recommended a book that I still use and have passed on to several friends and family members that have helped in managing day-to-day life and understanding where my anxiety starts: improving mood, approval addiction, overcoming perfectionism, and other detrimental behaviors. We moved out of state years ago so I don’t go to this practice anymore, but I highly recommend him. He helped me more than anyone else ever has. Life is pretty good now and I will be forever grateful to him for his help!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Cordoba for about 5 years now and absolutely adore him. He is attentive and caring. He’s not one of those psychiatrists that talks to you for 5 minutes and writes out a script. He takes his time to talk with you and get a global view of what’s going on in your life and what could help. He has a very wholistic approach in that he asks about physical conditions that could be influencing mood. He provides recommendations for therapy types, endocrinologists, whatever kind of other help you might need, really. One thing I particularly appreciate about his approach is how he involves me in the process. He lays out a few options, discusses side effects, pros and cons and together, we make a decision regarding the course of treatment. I could not be happier with my experience with him. Also? His office has an amazing, gorgeous view! It’s a very relaxing and calm place.

I’m told he’s great at his job, but his administrative setup is HORRIBLE. Try, just try, getting an appointment with him. It has taken about five months and finally I’ve given up. I even asked for a referral to someone with whom I might actually get an appointment sometime this year — and was told I needed to offer a provider list. ARGH! Just give me the name of someone!!!
