I saw Crafty Girl Austin at an event making cute bookmarks for children. I Co-Chair a festival and oversee all the children’s activities. The festival draws in about 600 people and is a free event for an Austin neighborhood. This year several City Council Members and Mayoral Candidates attended as well. I thought Crafty Girl Austin would be a good fit and asked if they would like to be a part of it which they agreed. I told Crafty Girl that I would provide and set up her table, tent, and all supplies needed for her booth. I also said I would put her logo on our website and print her business name in the local newspaper. She would be able to hand out information at the event for free publicity of her business. All she would need to do is provide four volunteers for the event and the special paper faces that would be glued on the bookmarks. I used neighborhood funds to purchase supplies for her(roughly for about 200 children), set up the booth as promised, and marketed her business all with no cost or obligation to her. On the day of the event as I was setting up I received a text message about one hour before the festival was to begin saying she had morning sickness and was not going to be able to attend. I understand that things come up and people get sick. But not only did she not attend but no one from her business did either. If she was going to provide four volunteers then why did none of them show up? Through text message she said she was going to have someone bring the paper faces to the festival. As you can imagine they never arrived either. After the event I never received any follow up from her to see if we were able to cover the booth and no apologies were given. Crafty Girl Austin was a complete disappointment. I feel this business owner is very unprofessional. I will never ask her back and I would suggest anyone else who plans to use the business in the future to make sure you have a backup plan because you absolutely can not rely on them.

My mom and I really enjoyed our craft project(map plates). Anna worked patiently with both of us and helped us with any issues we had. She is also loads of fun!

If you want to get together to chat and make an awesome craft this is for you! Great ideas and help were given and everyone in the group was there to have a good time. I’ll for sure be going to craft again!

I had a lot of fun at the Crafty Girl event I attended. We made an adorable string craft in the shape of Texas that looks awesome in my house. Anna was fun, sweet, and great at teaching the craft. She helped me out whenever I was confused or having trouble and really made sure my craft turned out great. I hope to attend more events in the future!

I’ve been to several of Crafty Girl’s events and love them! She makes it so easy by supplying the items needed and instruction; all you need to do is walk in, order a glass of wine while she explains the instructions– easy & fun! I’ve been to cool venues that I probably wouldn’t have gone on my own and met other fun people who enjoy crafts as much as I do! She also taylors her crafts around the holidays which makes it all the more fun and festive! It’s a great way to end a busy day and get your creative juices flowing, happy to be part of the clan!

So much fun! Reasonably priced. Creative evening out for me & my daughter. Walked away with a completed project each! Friendly, safe, easy to chat with fellow crafters!

Crafty Girl is a wonderful way to get out there and try something you have never done before with a group of amazing people. I tried the Mason Jar Terrarium class and was so pleased with all the details Anna had thought of for the project. She guided us through creating our projects, but none of them looked the same, they were each unique to us and turned out beautifully. I can’t wait to try out the string and nail maps project and dreamcatcher class. In addition, I met some women who were so wonderful. We ended up going to get a margarita after class and several of them I still keep in touch with. Great experience and would recommend to anyone!

Crafty Girl classes are great for girls and guys! The organizer, Anna, makes crafting fun and easy. I love being able to take home a finished craft that I made from start to finish in just an hour or two. And all of the crafts are super cute… from original wall art to necklaces, collages and more! They also make excellent gifts for friends and family!

I just got back from a Crafty Girl event and LOVED it! Anna provided a huge variety of different yarns, twine, ribbons, leather, beads, etc. to make our dream catchers. She taught us how to complete our projects step-by-step, and was genuinely interested in helping us make personalized touches. I know I was picky about a few things and she was really patient and helpful. She didn’t just throw up an example and say«Here’s the materials… do your thing.» This isn’t like Art Day in elementary school. It would cost at least $ 20 to buy all the different materials myself. And for $ 20, Anna provided the materials, instruction, and avenue to meet other crafty people. I loved getting to know Anna and I’m really looking forward to trying another class. FYI: We also experienced two separate occasions where guys approached our table wanting to talk to us about our interesting crafts. Just an added benefit for the single ladies out there ;)

Crafty Girl meets at local hot spots where we make great crafts together. Just last week we met and had food and drinks while we made bird nest necklaces. It was so relaxing and I met some fantastic people. I’m going to have the organizer do a class for my birthday for friends and family. Once you try it you’re hooked. There’s no pressure and you’re in the moment feeling fabulous.

Anna, the organizer, is very friendly and a lot of fun. All of her crafts are well organized and she is happy to help if you need her to. She has a lot of great materials and ideas for crafting and is willing to take suggestions for craft ideas as well.(Bonus: You can organizer your own craft party of four or more at your house, or a welcoming venue and your craft will be complimentary). I have only been to a couple of events, but I look forward to attending more in the near future. It is great to be able to do something I love like crafting while meeting others with a common interest. I enjoy gabbin’ and grabbing some good eats around town all while crafting!

I love getting Crafty Girl email invites, such cute ideas! The projects are always cute and fun and a great price. If you aren’t doing Crafty Girl projects, you are really missing out! And it’s not like they don’t offer a HUGE variety of classes!

Anna is amazing. The classes are super fun, at great establishments, and are not just for the ladies. Make yourself or someone special a handmade gift in a fun environment. Also a great date idea. ;) Highly recommended.
