I’ve always wanted to learn another language and finally had the time to do it. I was lucky to find Creative Language Center. While most of my classes are with Mariana, I had a chance to work with Maria as well. They are both instructive, friendly and patient. I love the small class size which allows us to learn at a pretty rapid pace. After less than a year, I can carry on conversations with native spanish speakers and I have almost completed my 9^th book. We started with books for young children and our current book is an almost 500 page book written for adults. Es increíble!

I’ve been taking Spanish classes at the Creative Language Center for almost a year. I’m amazed by how much I’ve learned. I’ve gone from a complete beginner (never took it in high school) to reading books — books written for adults! I’ve tried learning languages in the past in high school, college, and on the computer, but this small-group method has been much more effective for me. They use a good mix of academic-style exercises combined with a kind of conversational immersion.
I’ve had Mariana and Maria as teachers, and they are both great. They have different styles, but both are very patient and they make me feel like they really care if I learn. They are flexible, open to suggestions and never make me feel stupid which is very important while building confidence in a new language.
I definitely recommend this school. I’ve been wanted to learn Spanish for so long. Learning a new language doesn’t come easy to me. I know I wouldn’t have stuck with it for this long if I didn’t really enjoy coming here every week.

I think I already forgot my Spanish lol — but at least I have a notebook I can refresh with later. I wish it was easier to fit another language in my brain with all that other stuff I keep putting in it. It screams at me «no more, please no more». So I’m giving it a respite on the language front while doing other high intensity learning — currently involving music writing /memorizing and learning to operate new pieces of equipment.
I really enjoyed the classes. The instructors are super friendly, patient and quite good. The material is also good, though perhaps if I were to critique the approach (on the beginner’s level), I would prefer it a bit more directed to situational use and a little less emphasis on the amount of vocabulary. My one suggestion to students is to not take the super accelerated class unless you have a lot of extra free time to devote to the studies — it goes through the material really really fast and is a challenge even for the astute among us.
Once I re-study the material on my own and have it down, I would take another class from them. The instructors really are very good.
