I got a «dry cut» from Diamond and it is the best cut I’ve ever had! She spent a lot of time up front getting an idea of my style, how much of a change I was looking for and the amount of effort I put into styling my hair. Then she showed me some pictures based on our conversation and I indicated what I liked or disliked about them. As she was cutting she continued to ask questions and tell me the direction she was going. She showed me how to style it and told me other ways I could style it for different looks. She even followed up the next day to make sure I was happy with my cut. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience I had and how much I LOVE my cut!

Diamond was fantastic! I don’t remember the last time I had such a great experience. From the moment I walked though the trailer doors knew I was in good hands. I really appreciated hoe much Diamond really listened to what I wanted and improved it. I came out with the length of hair I wanted and the body my curls haven’t had in along time. It was. But hard to schedule the appointment because the # on the fb page, Unilocal and the webpage is for the salon in LA(not Diamond fault) once I got her number she was extremely accommodating to my scheduling needs. I’ve had so many compliments on my hair(I can wear it loose now!) and I’ve sent several people her way!

I was recommended to Diamond by a friend who’s hair was looking pretty fly. I went in with dry, coarse, damaged, thick, broom-like grown out layered hair. She listened, looked at my broom hair and ended up thinning it out but keeping the length. I wish I had taken a before photo. It was bad. Diamond also showed me how to style it, and which products to use. I’m lazy with hair styling and would prefer to go with my natural wavy texture. My new«leave in conditioner, mousse, air-dry, then add oil» process is EASY. And my hair came out soft, shiny with movement and it’s healthy looking again. Thank you Diamond!

I had a very weird experience with them. You have to call a number in CA to make an appointment, which is all well and good, except the communication between the home office and the Austin location seems to break down. They gave me a Saturday appointment and when I arrived, the place was closed. After waiting a while, I had to call CA, and the nice person said she’d get right back to me. I waited in vain for a while and then gave up and left. The hairdresser, Jen, finally called about 25 – 30 minutes later and said oh, she had asked for the day off, there had been a mix-up. Which I could understand, but she seemed completely unconcerned, and I really thought standing up a first-time client required more of an apology. She said something vague about maybe later in the day, but in the amount of time it took to hear from someone, I had fortunately been able to make a walk-in appointment down the block at Modesty. I should have gone for the local option in the first place.

In my top best haircuts of all time, by the talented miss Diamond ! So thankful I got priced out of my previous salons, this was enjoyable and affordable plus my hair not only looks amazing – it MOVES magically. I won’t get another«wet cut» again ! Thank you!

Diamond cut my really badly cut hair into beautifully cascading curls! My curls have solicited comments from people everywhere I’ve been. Thank you!

My haircut with Diamond was nothing short of magical. My hair is thick, curly/wavy, and tends towards dryness; to top it off, I have a sensitive scalp and won’t spend more than 5 minutes on styling my hair. In short, I’m not exactly a dream client. This was also my first time trying the DryCut method, so I didn’t know what to expect. Diamond listened to my hair routine and concerns, and then proceeded to give me the haircut I’ve been waiting for for approximately a decade. Her work was precise and methodical and shaped my perma-triangle head into a modern and flattering cut that wears easily with the most minimal styling. My hair actually looks longer and fuller than it was, although I have much less hair(thank goodness, with summer coming up fast). She also walked me through the No. 4 products that they carry and I took home some shampoo, conditioner, and styling foam that smell exquisite and actually work(totally worth the price, and my itchy and unhappy scalp is already getting better). Overall, this was a great experience and I doubt I’ll ever want to get my hair cut the traditional way again!

They are the best hair cuts I have ever had — they grow out better then the grow outs I had before. I really like this technique I am so grateful I found you!!!

Katt gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. I have curly thick hair which is hard to cut but The dry cut she gave me worked perfectly for my hair. I was instantly satisfied with my hair cut because with a dry cut I could see how my how will look tomorrow. My haircut was cool and messy in the best way possible. Katt was so nice and a pleasure to talk to. I will Defiantly be back.

I received a beautiful cut/style with Katt, with Curt checking her progress throughout(I was a model) and I haven’t been so excited about a cut/style in a long time. It’s not that I didn’t like other cuts I’ve had, but I LOVE the technique used here and the results. I am not the easiest person to please, so I was shocked myself. I mean no distrust to the stylists, I will just always be hesitant to get a new ‘do because of previous work I’ve had done. Everyone at the trailer is super nice and didn’t make me feel like a bumbling fool when I asked stupid questions. Katt was super patient and focused working for 3 hours and being covered in my hair(sorry!). I would totally go see her again! Also, being pregnant, I didn’t have to ask about the ingredients in the products being used, because it’s just your natural hair they work with. Total bonus!

I am from Dallas, and I’ve been here a few months. I saw the article in Austin American Statesman and decided to try the salon. I’m so glad I did. Best haircut ever by Teresa Tran. I could tell when she started cutting that it was going to be good. She considered my hair, my face and head shape and asked me what I liked and didn’t like about my hair and the way it was at that point. She knew what I needed although I don’t think I articulate what I want very well. Although Teresa will be working in LA and in Austin, I have already booked my appointment for October. If I need something in between, she will discuss my cut with the stylist and together they will make sure my hair is perfect. She is an artist with hair. Exactly what I wanted. Thank you, Teresa!

Darling DryCut is the best in Austin! I popped over there after lunch and was able to squeeze in a cut with Teresa, who is super talented and sweet! Teresa spent time listening to my hair needs and concerns, then took out a mirror and walked me through her plan before we began. She expertly cut, trimmed, texturized and shaped my hair, and within an hour had breathed new life into my mane. Darling DryCut is now my go-to Salon. Make it yours!
