My husband sees Dr Thomas, and to date, has had 2 operations from him. We are still in the healing process from the second one, but so far it’s been a GREAT experience. I am VERY shocked to see the negative reviews here. A little background… he has had knee issues that stem from 17 years ago, when he tore his ACL in college. We saw 5 drs in the past 18 months trying to determine what his next step was. He is 34 years old, and multiple drs suggested a partial knee replacement. YIKES! So, have we waited for an appt time, like others mention? Yes. Once. BUT we have also spent 1.5 hours with him in clinic, on 2 different occasions. We were SO very pleased with the time he took to explain and answer ALL our questions. On the flip side. After spending 1.5 hours with him one morning, we went for a second opinion at Texas Orthopedics, with Joel Hurt. If you are looking for a quick in and out — they have it. We left there feeling like they were«selling» us a surgery, much like buying a car. Fast forward a few months… my husband had a scope of his knee done and came home with a recorded DVD, of the surgery narrated by Dr Thomas. We were BLOWNAWAY. I never expected to receive that. It just shows that Dr Thomas was so confident in his every move, that he recorded it and sent it home with us. Most recently, my husband had 3 procedures done at one time, including a meniscus transplant. The pain was unbearable(due to anesthesia blocks not working correctly) and ended up needing a longer hospital stay. Dr Thomas was all over it – getting it coded and ordered correctly, so he didn’t have to be rushed home. He even called the hospital room several times to check on us and came by as well. All in all, it really has been a great experience. His bedside manner is great and he is honest. We went here as a referral to Dr Hyde, who decided our case was a better fit for Dr Thomas. We really felt blessed with how great they have been.

I wish I had an opportunity to find out about the medical proficiency of this doctor. Unfortunately, after arriving at the office on time for my morning appointment and waiting over a half an hour, I was told that they don’t know when and if I will be seen since there are two more people ahead of me. I think it is very disrespectful and inconsiderate to adopt such scheduling policies which would always put a customer in an waiting position. My time is not less precious than the time of Dr. Thomas and I wish he was respectful of it.
