I recently visited the Diamond Way Center in Austin. The people there were friendly and welcoming. They were normal people living normal lives. Knowing little about Buddhism, I was a bit apprehensive about attending a mediation center, but the people there gave me information I could understand. It was less like a temple and more like a house with a space set aside for meditation. The people were great, and I stuck around after the meditation to visit with them further. It was a very cool experience, and I look forward to attending again and recommend it for others.

Fantastic place, great people. What really attracted me to this particular Buddhist group is the honest, open style. The people are clear and open about the meditations and the logic behind them. You won’t find any strange esoteric practices or funny business, just a clear, modern approach to Buddhism. For real people who are interested in enriching their lives and the lives of those around them through Buddhist meditation.

What a lovely, friendly, beautiful group of people. The Center is so clean and inviting and with the welcoming spirit of the group, it is almost impossible to imagine a better environment or energy to be surrounded by. I will be back on every trip to Austin. Thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity. I am grateful

Wow, not exactly what I expected but what a pleasant surprise. Normal people who meditate, and it shows in their smiles. I was really impressed with the depth of the knowledge I received but especially that it was made applicable to modern western life… which is something I felt missing from other meditation centers I’d visited. I’ll definitely be returning, and it sounds like they also meet on the UT campus once/​week which I’ll probably check out.
