Live close but and again cash only and I don’t carry cash. This is the 2 time within a week needed something. But had to go someplace else due to no cash on hand

I am very forgetful, So on the way home something always snaps in my head of what I forgot to get at the store or something I need. So I pull in good olé DG and they have everything! here. Eggs, bacon, sausage, ice cream, hamburger helper. everything(mostly) no steak of fish or hamburger meat. YET. I normally leave here with everything BUT what I went in for. But like I said I drive by here on the way home everyday so I just make another stop the next day and hope I remember what I needed.

I hate the name of this place. Not only is almost nothing a dollar, it’s really not a general store like one of those really big, big-box stores. This is, however, a perfectly serviceable Dollar General, if you’re familiar with the basic concept. I got the 20 hangers I needed, and in lovely shades — mauve and black plastic, $ 1.29 a set. I even got a decently priced impulse item, a jar of unsalted peanuts for $ 2, cheaper than the grocery store for sure. My shopping companion got 2 pillows, pillow cases, a bath towel, a wash cloth, 2 Hanes T-shirts and some other token household object for under $ 30. The cashier was stoned out of his gourd and couldn’t put my hangers in a bag(I carried them out on my arm), and he took five minutes to put my friend’s pillows in a bag, holding up a long line, but that could just be the individual employee. This is smaller than many Dollar Generals, but it’s not too small. And, unlike many mid-sized all-purpose shops, it doesn’t reek of pet food. Always a plus.
