Dollar General Store

Here is my super short review.
The store is a mess.
Hardly anything is actually a dollar.
The checkout lady was very friendly.

The Dollar General is a truly multipurpose store, on the one hand they have groceries and food etc., on the other they have cleaning supplies and clothing, car maintenance items, household goods, toys. You name it, it’s here. It’s sort of like the convenience store version of a Wal-​Mart, however I would choose Dollar General over them any day of the week.
The reason being is that you can really get good deals here, sometimes you’ll even find cheaper items here than at Wal-​Mart and you’ll also be getting name brand items. They have top quality canned goods and their knock off sweets are a step above the competition as well. But why I really love this place is because of their variety of cleaning supplies. They sell the best brands at budget prices, and they have a broader range of not so easily found brands too, I enjoy arm & hammer laundry detergent for example and often times my local Wal-​Mart only carries one type of it, as where they have the full line at Dollar General.
They have pharmaceutical items as well here and a lot of off the wall toys and games for the kids. Stuff they might not see elsewhere for that matter. It’s really a lot of fun exploring the store because it’s not expensive and impulse buys won’t haunt you later if you go a little nuts spending. You can also spoil the kids silly with the cheap toys too, small kids won’t mind that their GI JOE is a GI Jack either and you’ll only pay $ 1 for old Jack as opposed to the $ 5 for Joe.
Much love for this place and if you’re tired of going to big stores and fighting crowds and parking headaches, then perhaps you should give this place a try. They also have good customer service too.
